West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Golfer Reviews
coyotes and pups
nothing is changing the greens r pretty bad the fairways ok traps r like cement but we were gifted by a group of coyotes heading out for the hunt 3 coyotes in an inner city course go figure!
3 hour round
two groups at course and the rest was wide open however the greens r not improving and now the fairways have lost some of their structure cant beat open courses but a true player couldn't handle the degrading course circumstances
Terrible Greens.
I’ve been playing Orangebrook west course since the early 1980’s and the greens have never been this bad The only green that wasn’t terrible was the 18th which is a temporary green in the middle of the fairway They were mowing the rough when I was there but are obviously not spending any money on the greens.
trying for a comeback
working on course continues improvements implemented but the greens (some r brown) remain the problem, pro stated that after 20years a Bermuda green tends to hybrid and no longer can be expected to grow thus some greens r unputtable but the fairways r lush and the rough is cut and all players must deal with the hole.
course upkeep
greens still very challenging , some fairways sprayed with a weed control product appear dormant , however much activity on both west and east course with greens being rolled and rough getting cut seems like things are getting better for the fall
Horrible greens
The greens look like bunkers with some grass on them. Its more or sand with patches of grass.
Greens are horrible
The fairways are ok but there is no way to have a decent putt in the greens
No efforts on the greens
Unfortunately they have let this courses go? Greens are unputtable!
What shame
I can't believe they have allowed this once nice course to get this bad. Haven't played it in about 8 years but what a disappointment
greens aero rated
greens were plugged with a big hole maker but also rolled and so the effect was minimalized so hopefully the attention will bear some good result. rough was moderately cut back leaving some juicy lies off the fairways which were perfect
Good course but bad greens
Good course if you’re a beginner getting into golf at a very good price. Fairways are great along with the tee boxes only issue are the greens very poor greens
good fun
course is still rough around the greens however some improvement ok but with golf now the bill came to 73$ for 3 players did not break the bank and there is a challenge
rough up
course is summer strong high roughs poor greens and great fairways not much play according to staff
Orangebrook - Orta
Friendly staff, great layout the greens were horrible
