West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

West course
West course needs more green care! Fairways are fine to me.
Good for price. Long drives
The cart paths are really bad so watch your speed. Staff is really good group. Some nice and long narrow fairways to get your long game going
Great Price
Awesome staff. Back 9 much harder then front. Greens are a little rough but for the money it's a great round.
Orangebrook West
This course is in rough shape. The greens were especially bad. The place is also partially under construction so I had to deal with a construction crew while driving into the place. Additionally, as a single player, they were not super clear on whether I could play by myself or not. The course was also quite crowded for a Monday. The clubhouse itself is pretty dated too. I will not be back.
Worst experience
The woman at the desk has the worst attitude I have ever experienced. Very disrespectful and stuck in her feelings . Couldn’t have one once of class . Purse should even be open . Looks like a run down chicken farm . I didn’t even play because they had 7 holes open and you have to loop it twice to make 18. Why isn’t the PGA checking courses yearly to keep up maintenance and staff for these situations to keep the PGA at a classified classy course standing .
The worst conditions
When you arrive to the course, they tell you that you can only play certain holes (9) twice. The rough is overly thick, no par 5s in the holes that are “playable”. And when you start again the 1st hole (10th), there’s a lot of traffic
STAY AWAY! They have like 4 holes open on the front 9 and 2 on the back 9. Half the course is flooded. I understand things happen and we live in Florida. But it is poor form to not have any notice of this many hole closers, feels very dishonest. Pace of play was the worst ive seen it here because of all the backups. Stay away for a while, it will clearly take some months for them to get things back on track.
West is not worth, east is.
West is not good. Do not play this course, do yourself a favor and play the east. Holes are shorten, not real greens.
Horrible staff and service
Make sure to call and make sure they are open. Went on a beautiful day and course was flooded. Upon entering I asked about my tee time. To which they implied can’t you read we have a course closed sign up. No I’m sorry but the course is closed today. No call or answer at pro shop before round then they have the balls to get mad at me. Place looks like a dump I wouldn’t come back if they paid me…your the welcome staff, how about being polite and welcoming! Thanks for nothing
Not worth the money
We’re avid golfers visiting from out of town and had to rent clubs. Unfortunately, the rental sets were very basic (compared to other courses rental clubs), and it took nearly 20 minutes just to check them out and get assigned a cart. The staff was friendly but moved slowly.
The pace of play was extremely frustrating—it took us about an hour and a half to get through only four holes.
While the greens were in decent shape, the fairways and surrounding areas were poorly maintained. Several tee boxes were so overgrown that we had to carefully pick a spot just to avoid hitting out of tall grass.
We come to this area often, but sadly, we won’t be playing here again.
Enjoyed thanks
Played the East Course and was not too bad. The greens were slight shaggy but better than other courses around the area...4th round this trip and would gladly play again...Kudos to starter helpful & informative....
