West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

rough up
course is summer strong high roughs poor greens and great fairways not much play according to staff
Orangebrook - Orta
Friendly staff, great layout the greens were horrible
Great course that needs some work
When spending under $50 for a round in south Florida, your expectations should always be tempered. Orange Brook has 2 18 hole courses (east currently closed). The course is open, has beautiful trees and canals on property and is a great track for new golfers or those looking to play a decent round at a fair price. The greens are rough and probably the worst part about OBs current condition. The staff is cool and laid back. Great property but unfortunately there is no longer a driving range.
greens seemed better
fairways r lush grass behind every shot, rough is rough however staff extremely busy cutting the jungle back, surprise the greens appeared to have been rolled and some of the problems were cured still iffy but much better
wish i could say it improved
not! fairways are lush rough is high (summer thick) but the greens r deteriorating with the heat and lack of rain so cannot expect a miracle unless the management would attack the problem course could be very competitive but the ruts on the green are deep
Experience
Poor grass quality, old, rude staff, you get what you pay for. I have only been to a couple golf courses and this is definitely the worst one.
You get what you pay for
Conditions are horrible. Greens need some work, they are rock, sand and soil, with some grass patches. Fairways are decent.
summer in south florida
started hot and humid and progressed to a lightning storm but in between we got 14 holes in and the course by no means tourney ready has improved
Needs lot of work
Greens terrible rough was terrible needs cut grass
Condition going downhill
Tee boxes are unkempt, not mowed, long grass and weeds, same for the rough, fairways are very iffy, greens are terrible, bumpy, little to no grass. Awful condition and obvious to me, that they are not doing the maintenance.
Best layout with bad condiciona
Both layouts are nice but the greens are bad, the búnkeres either and the grass i very high in some
Parts of the xoirse
The course really needs tending to. High grass on the several tee boxes. Charged me additional cost to ride in cart by myself. The greens were all jacked up. Several rough patches of dirt throughout.
Poor conditions
This course was never in the best of shape but after playing my last round I will not be coming back. You can't put up an honest score because the greens are horrific. They let this course go completely. Don't waste your time book elsewhere. Its not even worth 20 bucks.
Needs work
Golf course has fallen to poor standard. Most greens needed work and lost balls in high grass just off the fairways.
