Moose Ridge Golf Course
About
Moose Ridge Golf Club sprawls across rolling hills blanketed with mature trees and accented with colorful wildflowers. There are more than 90 feet of elevation changes throughout the course, but there are more challenges than the hilly terrain. Well defined bunkers lurk along the greens and acres of wetlands come into play. It's easy to get distracted on this visually stunning golf course, but it's a test that requires all of your attention. The first hole is challenging but gentler than the next three holes, which is one of the toughest sequences in the area. The second and thrid are long uphill par 4s and the fourth is a narrow par 5 with a marsh-protected green. Moose Ridge Golf Club's back nine opens more gently but the respite doesn't last for long. The 15th is one of the most challenging holes, starting with a tee shot over water and followed by an approach to a narrow green.

Toughest course around
Moose ridge is the hardest course in the area, especially if your good enough to tip it out at almost 7,000 yards. Lots of elevation change, greens are normally soft but pretty nice, can play a lot tougher if the wind is blowing. 1 is an easy start but if you make it through 2-5 with a good score your doing something right. Can be slow at times because of the difficulty but nothing outrageous.
Season Opener
First round played in Mich. 2013. Conditions very good considering time of year (Mar.30). Greens a little slow for this course but ball still rolled well. Fairways in good condition (cart path only b/c ground still frozen according to guy in pro shop). Over all an enjoyable day especially after making an eagle on hole #2.
Challenging & Picturesque
There aren't too many 70 degree days in October in Michigan. When there are, Moose Ridge is the place to be. The course is very well maintained and the surrounding trees give Moose Ridge the feel of an up north course. Of course, the beauty of the surroundings is balanced by the challenges of the course itself. Undulating fairways and greens, and "conveniently" placed bunkers and marshes make this course a fantastic challenge.
moose ridge is one of the BEST courses in the area...
Moose Ridge is great, great senery, nice layout, challenging but fair. Had a terrific day and the deal on Gold now was fantastic..
Challenging track, must play smart and have many types of shots. Green fees are too high for the area.
One of the better courses in lower Michigan. Must have a wide variety of shots to score well on this course. Keeping the ball in play off the tee is more important then distance. Well kept fairways and tees. Its a nice treat to play once a year but too pricey for regular play with many other nice courses nearby at half the price.
Beautiful challenging course.
Was a real treat to play. Many of the views from the tee box"s are breathtaking. Fairways were in great shape. Traps were well maintained. A couple of the doglegs were a bit extreme. The only disappointment we had were the greens that day. They played like black ice as a result of the amount of sand that was present.
Overall, a very nice course. Definitely recommend!
Moose Ridge
Fun course to play. First time through is tough. You have to learn where to "miss" it. Greens are usually in great shape and quick. Lot of variation of holes. Short and Long par 3s/4s/and 5s. Eagles and Birdies can be had. So can a lot of "others". I never turn down a day at Moose.
Golf course has an Up North flavor
Golf course was very challenging, however I felt it was fair. It definitely reminded me of playing in Northern Michigan. The conditioning was excellent and I will definitely be enjoying many more rounds at Moose Ridge.
Awesome course... Worth every penny
Course in great shape. Very tough but very fun to play. Course staff very nice
Fully agree that green fees are way out of line - I mentioned that to staff when I phoned them - they arrogantly said that's because our course is so much better than anywhere else. I played it once a few years ago...and don't share that opinion...and I won't be going there til they get realistic with their prices.
