Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

Scheduled to play 9-24-23 in the morning. Also, I didn't realize I was competing with a 5k & 10k run. Couldn't get to the course. Good thing we left early. After driving around for 15 minutes, I finally found a way to get to the entrance. I was instructed to go down the hill and wait behind the row of cars. I waited 20-25 mins not moving more than 30 feet. Getting closer to our tee-time and knew we were not going to make it. Tried to call pro-shop but nobody picked up the phone. Made a u-turn and spoke to the security person and they told me that they were not given the correct information to handle the larger crowd. Basically said it was horror show. Not worth the hassle.

Great course. I was kind of disappointed to see all the tees were all forward. Cut quite a bit of the course. Was not notified until the first tee box it was going to be like this.

Will definitely be back when the tees are standard distance. Can’t wait to play the real course.

Greens just verticut. Tees over seeded. Awful. Wait a while. Might be good in a few weeks.

The two woman at the starters desk in the golf shop denied my round because I had a spectator. Your web site failed to mention that spectators are prohibited at the course.

Worse round ever because there was no round.

Your web site gets a zero and Brookside gets an A+ for rudeness and their ability to accommodate a guest.

Do not recommend playing here during summer and fall when there is no rain. There is no grass on the course during months when there is no rain and the facility did a horrible job maintaining the course. I would only recommend playing here during end of winter and spring when the course has more grass. Then the course is nice to play. Other than those seasons, too dry and not enough grass. Horrible play yesterday.

Course is in terrible condition. Hope 8 was closed due to a down tree but no one told me that at the pro shop. Grass is brown or it’s mud due to it being used as a parking lot.

Staff is very nice but won’t be paying 60 bucks for the privilege of this course

A lot of golfers out for a Thursday. Had to wait for the golfers in front of us pretty frequently, then felt pressed and rushed by the group behind us. Not ideal in that respect, but a decent public course experience nonetheless. Loved the GPS course map in the carts. Fairways were not in great shape, but I could tell they were trying to improve them, several areas were roped off for reseeding so it’s nice to see that the course cares enough to work on it. Tee boxes were uneven and could have been better. Not a single ball washer to be found on the Nay course, which should be an easy improvement for them to make. All in all a fun round for only $54.

I booked Brookside on a whim, after talking to playing partners from last week.

The track wondered all over the place.

I joined a good player and another player who was strong but didn't know what caused ballflight, and his girlfriend (?) who went only for the ride..

I had a good round going the front nine, but not so much the back nine.

The mountain scenery was beautiful. I'll be back. Had a good time.
