Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

Course is probably one of the busiest public tracks in Southern California. Greens and sand traps were excellent. Tee boxes average. Fairways were ok. They had grass but it was mow the lawn day so clippings were all over the fairway. Also on number #1, #9 & #18 the fairways were beaten up pretty bad. Looked like they had some kind of festival on them recently so they were shot out. Rough was deep. $53.00 to ride wasn't bad. Carts were good. Took 4 hours and we waited so it should've been more like 3 1/2. Would I play again? Yes.

This place is packed… had to wait for 4 parties of 4 to go at the 7th hole. Looked like the 405 during rush hour. Took just under 3 hours to play the first 9.

Maybe give a price break or make it clear that it won’t be the same experience by any means

It would of been nice if the course would tell people when they decided to turn the course into a parking lot for a music festival. It sucked. They had you playing back and forth on the 2 courses. Started on 11th tee moved around to the 4th tee, then back over to the 17th tee. It was a joke. This is a $20.00 course at this time, not $45.00 +The course was extremely slow because of this problem. 5.5 hr round. Don't waste your time for the next month. May & June

The folks in the proshop are very short tempered. I didn't like how they've been speaking to my playing partners the last 3 visits to the course. Please- consider friendliness when it comes to the game of golf. It's getting noticed!!!!!!!

It was loud and annoying. I don’t think it’s always that problematic but it was that day. Also showed up an hour early because I didn’t know range was closed because off the festival set up. Pace was slow and it kinda ruined the experience. It’s usually good there but again it was a bad day.

I’ve played both courses this month and they are in great shape, save for a couple of greens that need some care.

Pace has been very good this year, and the staff is great.

This review/rating is specific to this particular day that I played. I checked in and teed off at my reservation time (paid $46 to walk). Our group was supposed to have two singles (I am one of them) and a twosome. That morning, the other single did not show up so we were sent out by the Ambassador as a group of three. The next day, I was notified via email from Golfnow that I would be charged the full amount ($63) because Brookside had informed them that I was a no-show. WHAT?! This is total BS! I contacted Golfnow, but they were absolutely useless because Brookside refused the reversal. I ended up being penalized for 1.) checking in and teeing off at my designated tee time, 2.) the other single not showing up, 3.) the mistake Brookside made and their refusal to admit a mistake, and 4.) the incompetency of Golfnow support.
