Always a good place to play
This is a long but fair course. Hit it straight and you can score. Play from the tee line and it's all bad. The greens are true.
Food vendors are gouging. Beverage cart was awol and it was hot out there.
The course is looking very good
Had a great time and the fairways n greens Have not looked this good in while, I was very impressed.
Never Again
I love playing the Koiner Course (#1), (much better than the bad #2 course) but there is always issues at this club with staff and management.
Long delay in your tee time, very long line at the starter windows, range closed, range ball machine out of order... and poor overall management.
Last weekend I started my round one full hour late after my booked teetime, and the pace of play wasn’t horrible but way too long for me to finish my 18holes on schedule. I had to leave early at hole 14.
I spoke with the General Manager, and honestly he was just a jerk, telling me he cannot see any issue with the club management. It’s too bad because I like the Koiner course a lot, but I won’t go there anymore... like many other players I spoke with.
Fun day
Tee time was delayed due to a tournament but once we got going everything went smooth .
Rose bowl area
Was my first time playing this course, I am about a 23 handicap, and found this course to be fun to play and not overly challenging. I tee'd off at 6:30, so the pace a play was really good, the weather was great as well, but the greens were really wet and soft making for some deep divots. Would definitely play it again, and looking forward to.
Greens are in good shape
I like this classic course, completed the round in 4.5 hours and had a good lunch afterwards
NOT the same Brookside!
Pace of play was NIGHT AND DAY...if you have ever played Brookside before. Usually a 5-6 hour round...but now...we played today in 4 hour and 15min. No five-somes...10 min intervals...HUGE DIFFERENCE! Well done!!

Checkin was fast and friendly. The pace of play was outstanding with the new 10 minute separation. No waiting on any holes! Course was in excellent shape! Food and service at the clubhouse was outstanding.
As expected
Shockingly played 18 in less than 4 hours even having to wait on the crew ahead of us at every hole.
Course mainly in good condition. Some parts of the fairway burnt. Greens in good shape and very quick. Bunkers well maintained.
#2 more wide open and a little less challenging than #1
Great time had by all
Three singles and myself made up the foresome.
All accomplished golfers and we had a most
enjoyable experience. Course conditions very good,
greens held, were quite fast and true. Fairways for
the most part good.
The unbelievable aspect of the round: we finished
Brookside in 3 hours, 45 minutes. Pace of play was
fabulous. Everyone in carts helped: one member of
our group walked. The course was crowded so I
never would have believed the speed by which we
played. Made the beer taste even better after the
round.
