Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

Course is ok muni. Greens actually best part. Smooth receptive and decent speed. But management just books too many Round here. 5 hrs is norm. No thanks especially for 48 bucks

Terrible people, absolute zero golf manner and golf knowledge. Don’t come. It sucks.

Played early teeing off at 8:30am.. Pace of play was very good, under 4.5 hours. Course was in very good condition and the greens were quite fast and smooth yet receptive. Fairways were good but the rough had bare spots and bare edges. Beware of the barranca behind #1 and #10 greens. Anything long is in the channel. Course is straightforward, no blind shots. Played from the blue tees and there a number of par 4s that are over400 yards. Par 3s are stout as well. Water in play on several holes but only the tee shot on17 needs to challenge the water if you envision putting for eagle. Driving range is off mats nor are the flags marked for distance so only rate as ok. Putting greens were good and mimiced the course speed well. Not the last time i will play this course.

I had a confirmed tee time of 10:20 from you. Upon arrival I was told they had me down at 10:45. However, they were having the Pasadena City Women's Amateur on the #1 course I was to play. They were as much as 30 minutes behind. I actually go off at 11:00 A.M. It took 5 1/2 hrs to play and the last 2 holes took 35 min alone. Pathetic.............

This course is challenging and fun! First time playing it and as a “new” golfer - I found it to be a teaching course for me as well

We showed up 45 minutes early to warm up and got a small bucket of balls. The machine had run out of balls and they said someone would do a pickup. An hour later, no one had picked up any of the range balls.

At the course restaurant, the waiter brought the wrong meal and then their credit card machine was down, so they asked me to take out cash with a $3.50 charge at their ATM.

My first issue is that GolfNow sends me coupons every two days, but did not honor that coupon when I went to use it. In addition, GolfNow seems to have no way to interact with them on issues such as this.

Now, as for the round. I play this course regularly (at least once per month on average). The course was in good shape, but the 95 degree temps make the course seem a bit dry and quick. Saw cart beverage person only on the third hole, and we were grateful for that. They had no scorecards for our course, which was quite annoying, but they did have a new electronic scorecard system with yardages, which was great. The price for the round was very good, but it still doesn't pardon GolfNow for their not honoring the coupon nor of the fact that you can't seem to talk to them if you have a problem.
