Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

Tuesday was a great day to get out on the course. Played at a good pace, even though there was a group of 8 in front of us. I'm sure if the Marshall saw them he would have broke it up. Greens were tricky but solid. Had a ball!

Wish the course had a cart to purchase drinks and GPS on the cart. Yardage markers not very useable.

Play here frequently. Definitely one of the best public tracks. It's amazing the shape after a game at the Rose Bowl. It's that much better when there are no games. The only issue is the pace of play. They load up the tee times and allow 5somes

One of the few courses to allow 5 somes and let them all walk. Need I say more?

With more reasonable prices and lunch included now, this is an excellent value. The restaurant food and pro shop have always been very good, the course is usually in good shape with great greens; this day was no exception. The very long fairways were well cared for, traps in decent shape. All in the usually quiet and attractive setting of the Rose Bowl basin. Very friendly staff. Truly one of the best values in the Los Angeles area now.

Great day! Course is long- 3 par 3's and extra 5. Challenging but fun. Very busy and slow in spots. But nice folks and perfect conditions.

The course and the staff were great, really enjoyed the day.

I had an awesome time, And the course was great. I went as a single and by the time I left I have 3 new golfing buddies. Thanks golf now. So worth it!

Shorter than the sister Course with small greens ,it's used as a parking lot for the ROSE BOWL so the fairways can be a little beat up with tire tracks ! And light wackers sprinkled out of play - jus a distraction ! Play can be slow if a foursome is walking the course. But if you can play for less than the rack rate - you are winning !!

Look, I understand that greens need to be aerated. HOWEVER, if Golf Now allows you to post alerts notifying that this is taking place then utilize that function. Showing up to the golf course, seeing no signage that this is taking place and walking on the green to see them aerated is annoying and could have easily been avoided. Just let people know what they are spending their hard earned money for. Always like this course (5 somes should be outlawed however, on every golf course) but the lack of communication is disappointing.

Good pace of play this time. No tournament this time.

Tee time 10:36am actually tee off 11:25am they pack them in here guys so don't say I didn't warn ya.

First time there and got to say management was nice and helpful. However course is in poor shape. They use the fairways as parking for the stadium next door. Yes you heard PARKING. The greens are super quick and NOT fun to play on. There's plenty of other course for the same price / even cheaper hat are nicer to play on .

Do not play Brookside during the holidays. This course regularly overbooks and then tells you, "were sorry, weve been caught off gaurd. Were behind on your tee time by at least 45 minutes... Oh, and we dont have anymore carts either."

Then they have the audacity to allow anyone that wants to walk to go ahead of everyone, no matter what theyre original team time was. The course management was way off its game on this day and it ruined many many rounds for a ton of people.

This is an annual debacle that Brookside never gets right. Dont waste a perfect holiday playing here
