Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

I really like playing this course and this time was no exception. The course is in pretty good condition but the greens ar great. I recommend his course to anyone who wants to challenge their game. Great staff and for those that make the turn around lunch, don't skip out on the great burger they make at a great price. Will be back again!!

The food is excellent but that time I showed up I had t,time no cars not too many people waiting I went out two and a half hours later for my tee time Im,not,finish my round of golf it got dark so many people walking it wasn't what I was expecting to have that day

Very good course.

Very slow play .....teed off at noon on a Sunday afternoon, finished 15 holes in 4 hours 45 minutes.....shall I chalk it up to DST or slow play? Both!

Terrible fairways and tee boxes and extremely slow play, crowded driving range and poor check in process

Conditions were good, considering 3 days ago the fairways were used for Rose Bowl parking. Greens were quick and rolled true. POP for a weekday was slow (5 hours).

I thoroughly enjoyed my round. The is in average to good condition. Will surely come back again with friends.

There is a grill that was open at the turn that is wonderful. Had a perfectly grilled hot dog and a large can of beer. Played a terrible back nine but still had a good time

It was a good game played with 3 guys. Not crowded and would love to play again

There are some areas that are soaking wet. The greens are super fast. The pace of play is extremely slow due to 2 5 somes ahead of us. I play this course 2 to 3 times a year and has not changed a bit. Nice lay out. Some holes have to carry the wash. Green are true.

Local knowledge add 1 club when heading towards the mountain and 1 club less heading towards the free way.

Course was a little beat up from parking... and the greens were a little rough from airification, other then that a great day and fun course

The drought has hit this course hard. The greens are good, so are the tees. Many thin, baked out areas. Worst shape in years. Pace was murderously slow. Only got 15 holes in after teeing off at 3:16. Let's all pray for rain! It's a great track and I'd love to see it come back. Can't play there anymore these days. The bad lies cost me too many strokes.

Brookside is an old, storied facility - LA Open was played there once, and lots of celebrities used to play there...today it is jam packed with players, as American Golf (the operator of this muni) allows fivesomes...greens are always good - very fast and very tricky...fairways are hit and miss - some bare spots - this place is next to the Rose Bowl, and during football season the course is literally the stadium parking lot - it does less damage than you would think, but it does do some...clubhouse boats the NICEST proshop you will ever see, and the grill is great - wonderful views and good, solid food...had fish and chips yesterday after the round and they were fantastic, and at 10 bucks, well priced. They have a real chef there and it shows...green fees at 60 are too much for this - always go with GolfNow here

Course overall is good, fairway have lots of dry dirt area. Green is fairly good.

Apparently, the course allows, 18, 12 and 9 hole back nine play during the early morning and if you are playing 18 holes, by the time you tee off on the 10th hole there's a backup due to the slow play coming from the 12 and 9 back nine play. I believe that there should be a more strict limit of players to said back nine play during the early time tee times.

Always slow play here and a course management that knows it but won't do anything to speed up play. Fairways in horrible shape.

They overbook the course and they do not care about pace of play. Correction, they do not know what pace of play is. They got our foursome out 30 after our tee time. We played for 6 hours and still could not finnish our round. When I talk to the ranger at the tourn about the issues he did not care and said the was normal. Don't waste our time or money.

The weather was good and the pace was fair. Since it was the 4th of July, the time was limited due to the upcoming firework preparation at the course. I live a few miles away from the course and I play there some time. I have to warn you that during the college football season and special events(ex: concerts), the the fairways are being used as parking lots. Therefore, the fairways become, you know what is going to be. Overall, I like the course.
