Inverness Golf & Country Club

Went here after 12 pm only foursome on the course. The green were overseeded not too long ago but they are getting into shape still very puttable. The whole course is in above avg shape i really enjoyed the layout. I suggest playing within your ability high handicaps and people that can not hit as far suck it up and play from the gold tees trust it hard enough to shoot a good round.

First time playing, chose because it was in between my Dad and I. Staff friendly and accommodating, nice little pro shop. Dated, gas powered carts but more than adequate. Got hit into once by a group of members that didn't bother to approach or apologize but they were finishing a shotgun start and we only had to deal with that for two holes. Lots of trees and although it's a short course for myself my Dad (76) found it very enjoyable. Many tee shots (from the tips) require well placed drives for unobstructed approach shots. Tees and fairways in slightly better than average shape, no plugged balls or excessive mud although the grass is a bit thin in spots. The greens were very well kept, not fast but smooth and true. A few small bad spots here and there but overall the greens were in really good shape today. GolfNow price of $38 and change for two was a good value for today's round.

Always enjoy playing the course, nice layout and is always in good condition.Pace of play was excellent and greens and fairways in nice condition.Well worth a trip.

Even if you hit it in the wood you have a good chance to get out back on the farway

played 18 holes mid day on a hot Friday in September. We had the course to ourselves and it was in great shape.

If you can get a $10 hot deal for this course, then I rate it in the top 5 courses in Citrus County for the value. Course was in fine shape. Some long holes and some trees placed with pure malice. Love this course!

I enjoy playing Inverness country club it's a very nice course with a great staff and the golf shop has a very nice selection of golf accessories.

Course was good greens good as was the fairways staff where very good and helpful.

Arrived at the course and were greeted by the golf pro. The front 9 had the remains of scramble, so we were started on 10. The course was in very good shape. Plenty of grass on the fairways and greens. Greens were firm and fast which I liked. Pace of play was great, didn't see the foursome ahead of us till #16. All said it was a great day for golf.

Got a great price thru Hot Deals. Got on early and never had to wait on any hole. The layout is challenging, with tight fairways and small greens. However, the Tee Boxes and Fairways were in bad shape. The greens were pretty quick and in good shape, compared to the rest of the facility. I will play again if I can get the right price, knowing that the conditions probably won't get any better.

A must course to play, we enjoyed very much.

First time playing course. Everything went well at first. We were paired up with a pleasant couple from Holland which was the best part of the round.

I guess the members or the regulars feel they own the course and were deliberately slow and very rude.

Their attitudes took away from what could have been a nice afternoon..

The course has some strange layouts with the tee boxes way too close to the green on a par 3 .

You must watch or get bombed while teeing off if someone hits a slice on the par 3.

The course was very crowded, so we had to wait on all our shots. The fairways were dry but the greens were in nice shape.

First time at this course and the weather was perfect. As usual, the fairways were burnt but hit well with a moist base. The lack of rain this fall & winter have left the courses without a watering system hi & dri. Greens were very good and rolled fast & true. Nice layout and hooked up with a 3 others from golfnow.com and had a great time!

The course has an interesting layout and could be quite challenging if played from the blue tees. The pro shop staff, only one person, did not show much interest in our being there. There was no course Ranger and our threesome was behind a extremely slow foursome, two couples. We had to wait, once we caught up with them by the third hole on and the rest of the front nine, never an offer to play through.

We were surprised at what good condition the course fairways and greens were. The greens were fast. Nice wide fairways and only one water hazzard. Staff was very friendly but unaware of the free drink. Will be going back.
