A nice surprise !
We arrived at the course in thick fog so we couldn't see how things looked. After the 3rd hole the fog burned off, and the rest of the round was great. The greens were in nice shape and fairly fast. The fairways were decent, but off of them the grass got a little thin. A nice course with the character of an old country club.
First time at Inverness CC
Enjoyed every bit of it. Will try different tees nest time.
Good course
I have played there on and off at different times and really enjoy that course. The fairways are a little narrow and typically if you get in the rough there is probably a tree or so in your way so straight is much better then long for sure.
just a great day
The course was in good shape and we really enjoyed playing there, definitely will play here again.
Local County Club
Went on Friday afternoon - it was a great course - fairways, tee boxes, and greens in good shape- not too many bunkers but some challenging holes. The clubhouse is a bit dated, but a friendly crowd.
A Hidden Gem
I've lived in Central Florida for nearly 10 years and finally made the trip to Inverness to play Inverness Golf & CC. It was worth the wait and worth the trip. This course is tucked away off the beaten path in southeast Inverness, in the midst of a housing development. In spite of the fact the course has minimal staff and no local pro it was in excellent condition--the fairways lush, the greens fast and smooth. The bunkers could stand a good grooming but for what they have to work with personnelwise the course was very playable. Trees are the big thing with every fairway lined on both sides. Shot placement is very important on this course and it's going to take a few trips around it to figure out where to hit on every hole. But my playing partner and I both agreed that this is a course we want to play again and again and I will be taking my Saturday golf group over there next weekend. By the way, the restaurant was also a real treat--excellent food at very reasonable prices. And the staff at both the pro shop and the restaurant were the best.
well taken care of
First time playing here. A very relaxing round. Course is well taken care of. Web sight says it is private but they have plenty of available t-times for the public. Affordable!
THE COURSE HAS MANY DOGLEGS,FUNTHOU
YOU ARE REALLY PLAYING TARGET GOLF. TROUBLE OFF COURSE WITH TREES. LIKED ALL THE DIFFERENT SHOTS YOU HAVE TO MAKE. TREES HANGING OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE. COURSE WAS GREAT ANS GREENS WERE THE BEST WE HAVE PLAYED ON. ROLLING 10-12---PERFECT.
Best conditioned course I've played this year
We played the back nine first at the reccomendation of the club house guy. Never ran into anyone all round. Course was in better condition than anywhere I've played this year so far. Greens were in great shape, and the fairway was green and in great shape. You could see the fertilizer everywhere. Would, and will play again
Trickey doglegs
1st time player needs to know the layout. Get used to trees on the drives. Would play again.
Inverness
The greens were the fastest we have played in the area very smooth great rolls. The course is a challange but with well played shots you can tame it down some. Fair ways are narrow and tree lined but cleaned up.
Inverness GC
Fairways in really bad shape.
Tee boxes even worse.
We quit after playing 10 holes. We played with just myself and wife. Couple ahead were 2 men. Slow play. Did not let us pass or ask us to join them.
For us, it wasn"t worth the money or the time to go there. Will not go again.
poor fairway
team up with a couple husband and wife very nice people.play two holes and they told us to go.she was learning to ptay.after seven hole we wait on every tee.fairway were very poor.we were told they had outing that why play was so slow.
Very firm and fast greens
The course is located in an older neighbor hood. Front nine is a nice layout with good variety of challenging holes.
The back nine was a fair layout with parts of it feeling like a shooting gallery .
terrible course
this place is the pits
the greens were only fair
the grass on the fairway was between matted down and non-existant
there were NO restrooms anywhere on the course
AND,,,,,,,, THE RESTAURANT DIDN'T OPEN UNTIL 11 A.M.
WE COULDN'T EVEN A GET A CUP OF COFFEE! [ we teed off at 9 am]
forget this place
It was a challenge
Narrow tree lined fairways but the trees are sparse and allow good chance for recovery. The greens are the highlight of the course. The greens are among the finest in the area. I will play again.
good value
greens looked brown but putted very true. mature course. no tricks or windmills. still need to hit you distances to score.
Inverness C.C.
Nice challenging golf course, fast greens, & good layout. Our group would play this course again.
nice course
The course was in good shape ...the staff were excellent and they had some great buy's in the PRO Shop
Old Style Course
Traditional older course - front nine rather flat. Back nine some elevation changes and diverse holes. Greens in fine condition.
