3 nines
3 nines: Zaharias, Jones & Ouimet. Played Z & J. Excellent layout with a lot of variety. Very pretty natural setting. Challenging but a fun course. No gimmicks or surprises. Course was in excellent condition.
slow play
course is real nice but play was slow. told a starter about it and he said he would address it but did not. I also found him to be cocky and somewhat rude. these factors turned what could have been a great day into just an OK experience. starter claimed they had marshall's out there but we never saw one.
Great day
Course was in great shape . From fairways to greens. . Nice experience. Can’t wait to go back.
Great round, conditions and layout
This course has 27 holes. Played Zaharias to Jones which offered challenging golf layout. Course is in great shape.
Best Course in Plymouth/CapeArea
Crosswinds is simply the Best Course for the Money in the Plymouth/Cape Area. Greens are perfect. The Greens Fees are very reasonable, and far more affordable than similar courses in the area like Waverly or The Pine Hills. The Staff is very accommodating and Pace of Play is no Better or Worse than most public Courses. Very Highly Recommended.
Crosswinds or Waverly?
As these courses are next to each other, thus terrain is very similar, they are both excellent golf courses. I played Waverly last week and Crosswinds yesterday. Waverly charges $40-50 more, has some additional amenities like food shack and Pro Shop, and probably has better cart paths. Crosswinds a better value and a fun challenging course. I like to walk, but recommend taking carts at both courses.
Crosswinds..Best Bang for the Buck.
In my opinion, Crosswinds is the finest public course in the Plymouth Cape area. Conditions from Tee to Green rival or exceed those of The Pine Hills courses or Waverly Oaks, with fees significantly less than it's rivals. The greens are magnificent. As with most area courses, pace of play is a challenge but no more than most. The staff is friendly and the overall experience is a pleasure, and most of all affordable. Highly Recommended.
Great Challenge
I always try to play Crosswinds a couple times each year. It is always in great shape and a good challenge no matter what your skill level. This outing was great as usual.
Needs A Bit More Care
I've Played , WB Riverbend & Olde Scotland Links , Halifax Acushnet and they are in far better shape , not sure what's going on Crosswinds but It looks like they are working on bringing it back to a great standard , just not there yet.
