Tooth 9-hole Course at Orange County National
About
The Tooth Course is a popular nine-hole executive course at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility also features two 18-hole regulation courses. The Tooth Course mimics the shape and challenges of its sister courses but on a smaller scale, making it an ideal place for golfers to sharpen their game. The course is especially useful for getting practice with irons. The course offers strategically placed bunkers, a lake that comes into play on four holes, and subtle elevation changes. Orange County National welcomes younger players to play the Tooth, allowing them to play free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

Best Small 9 hole
Best short 9 hole course and great price. Great for your short game
Tooth played tough today. Greens cut perfectly
Pleasant fall day with pebble beach breezes protected several greens today.
Played white and blues on back nine.
Both played consistent and challenging
Nice weather
Greens in. A1. Condition. , Fairways too.
The mahi mahi lunch. With. Sweet potato fries. Amazing. .
Thank you. To staff at OFN. For a great day!

Confusion all the way
When I checked in I was told I had a $10 cart fee. I showed my Reservation and I did not have to pay. I waited in the heat for 1 hour and 10 minutes for a cart in the heat of the day. There is very poor communication between golfnow and the course according to the staff. I was treated like a second class customer. I do not recommend this course
Right price not much else
Course wasn’t in great condition; especially the greens. Putting was rough with all the sand, and I mean a lot of sand. Layout is amongst the strangest I’ve seen; I hated that the latter half of the 9 all have water challenges when the previous ones were dry. The pro shop was awesome though.
Great short course
I played the 9 hole with a friend just for the discount on golf now. Wow! What an interesting little play. Great course for your short game.
Hit or miss with summer camp in session
As other reviewers have said, the summer golf camps make full use of Tooth and it really can slow the pace of play significantly. Today, only one group of kids were ahead of me and the coaching staff kept things moving along and even let me go ahead of them. I was the only one left on the course once they finished so I was able to take my time and get great practice in. The Hot Deal price I paid ($7) does not include a cart. I paid $10 extra for a cart but next time I’ll walk since it’s more than manageable on foot. Overall really good experience and grounds were well kept.
Thank you for making my golf birthday a happy one

Tooth Course
Fun walking course. Pace was slow & no marshal. Course condition was fair. Recommend.
Always Fun!
The Tooth is fun par 3/4 course. Its fairly easy to play, but has interesting, quirky challenges along the way. Its a great course to practice your short game. The staff is friendly, and the practice facilities are second to none.
One suggestion: please consider blocking out time for the youth golf academys to play. Give them the course to themselves for a couple hours. We started behind a group of 8 kids. I could see off in the distance another group of roughly 6 kids on #2, and the patterned repeated on other holes. Luckily they dispersed after a few holes or our round wouldve been 4 hours.
Deal was supposed to include a cart, but they wanted to charge me an extra $10. Also, they had some kind of youth golf training program near the driving range and some of the kids jumped on the course and bought the pace of play to a halt. Program supervisors did not stop them and no one from the course did either
Summer Camp Time
Many children, not all of them supervised so pace of play was very slow.
Otherwise, all good.
Children's course
this is really a children's course with short holes and no capacity limitations. In front of us we had 8 kids with an instructor and that was the case in every hole. It should not be offered as a 9 hole course. it is not. I went to the pro shop and cancelled the reservation. Teeoff was contacted for the refund.
There are no signs indicating were the pro shop is located
Summer Camp in session
Usually I can play this course in just over an hour. Unfortunately they are having summer camp and the play was extremely slow to say the least. It’s wonderful to see the kids having such a great time but why would you take a reservation when there are groups of kids on almost every hole that are very new to golf??? Would it be possible to change the Hot Deal to afternoon when camp is over? I love playing this course. Just a little frustrated at the pace of play,
Great Value
I played this to better my short game. The tee boxes are beat up for that reason but the course will have you using your short wedges up to roughly 6-7 iron and you can use your driver twice. Greens are in good shape. Bunkers are hard. Can’t complain and will play again. Time your outing well as there will obviously be a lot of beginners and kids. Set expectations and you’ll have a good time
