NEVER Again
This is the absolute worse condition I've this, or any local golf course in for 30 years. Nothing has been mowed. can't tell the fairway from the rough, grass is over 6 inches tall in some places and everything else is dirt hard pan. Even a perfectly placed drive gets lost in the super thick patches of unmowed grass, obscured by leaves and branches or other crap. Or the ball shoots so hard off the dirt and hard pan areas, you have no way of tracking or knowing how far or where your ball went to. Ridiculous to lose a golf ball due to the course conditions, not your shot. Overall the entire course needs about $2M in greenkeeping improvements, which is never going to happen. This is a total goat track right now. Horribly unplayable unless you have absolutely no other choice and time to kill.
Rough rough and greens
Gopher damage extensive.
Greens were OK, except many holes from birds or other pests.
Walking anywhere other than center fairway is difficult with many, many unplayable positions .
Garbage
Avoid this dump.
As with anything run by the local govt, a complete waste and should be avoided at all costs. No Marshall and no knowledge of how a golf course works by the one employee on duty. Great place to hang out if you need a reason to despise living in LA.
This one really draws out the pillars of the community. If this is your only golf option, stay home and grab a puzzle.
Can you please work on getting the golf carts in better operating shape!!
Cart Path Pitfalls
I would donate to a fund to repair or replace the cart paths. They are in ridiculous condition. The Advils I took after the round were from the punishment my body took from riding the paths, not my playing.
