Bridges - The Tradition at Firewheel Golf of Garland

About
The Bridges at Firewheel Golf Park is a 27-hole layout that has been a regular host of U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifying tournaments. The course is comprised of three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Tradition nine is the shortest of the three at just over 3,200 yards from the back tees. What it lacks in length, it makes up for with the rolling terrain. Golfers will face tricky uneven lies in addition to strategically placed bunkers and towering oak and pecan trees. There are also two creeks that crisscross through the entire golf course. They come into play on several holes. Not only does the Bridges provide three 18-hole courses, there is also Firewheel's original 18-hole Old Course, which was followed soon after by the 18-hole Lakes Course.

Great value
Great course! Greens fairways and carts are all very well taken care of. For the price I'll definitely be back.
Great pace of play!
There’s a couple of areas that they are actively trying to recover. But overall would play this place again!
Nice course
Greens and fairways were in good shape, Nice course
Great greens!
I play all over Frisco/Plano/Richardson/Garland and this course is a great value. The greens were in great shape unlike others up north (which are more expensive btw) so do yourself a favor and drive to Garland and take advantage of a great deal.
First Time
Played the Bridges course for the first time to try a new course. Greens and fairways are in great shape, some of best I have played this Spring. Finished in 4 hours and never waited. Only thing I would say as a negative comment is there was no beverage cart and most of the water coolers were empty. If I had known that before I started I would have filled up the on cart cooler with drinks and ice. Overall very fund course at a good price. Will definitely play again.
Great golfing
I always enjoy playing the Bridges courses. Fairways & greens were great. Did a twilight round and almost got through all 18. Had to stop at 17 but was well worth it.
Really great greens for a public course
Many of the Frisco/Plano courses have greens in bad shape but we were pleasantly surprised to see Firewheel's greens in great shape. For a holiday, we would have expected to see the cart girl at least once but never saw her, not to mention many of their water jugs were empty.
Keep it going
Nice to see greens and fairways in good shape. Only one bad green and it was makeshift bc of course improvements. Keep up the good work.
Pretty good shape. Great value
Besides the first green being temporary, the greens and the course were in good shape. I like the layout. White tees are like 6000 yards. Shorter par 3s. Over all I’d play here again.
Great condition, but no Marshal
Course is in really good condition given the recent rain, pace of play was horrible though. No starter or marshal present on a busy Saturday to help regulate pace of play. 5 hours for a 2 some, teed off at noon. I will play here again but would advise budgeting for a 5 hour round of golf regardless of group size if playing on the weekend when the weather is nice.
