Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course

Course is in as good of shape as any course in Tampa at the moment. Greens were excellent for late May and the fairways and tees were in good shape. Quite a bit of rain fell the day before I played so it was a little wet but it didn’t detract from the course conditions.

Only downside on the day was the pace of play. I teed off a little after two and the clubhouse personnel said the course was pretty open. They were correct until I got behind a foursome of men that were extremely slow. They were playing the back tees and they couldn’t hit it 200 yds off the tee. Every hole took 15-20 minutes for them. They were hitting fairway woods into every green. Finally on the 11 hole they let me play through. I waited behind them for 7 holes and 2 hrs and 20 minutes. Once the let me play through I played the last 8 holes in just over an hour. It was disgraceful.

Course was great. I love Lake Jovita and look forward to playing there again in the future. Please get a Marshall or someone to monitor the pace of play. It was ridiculous.

No carts! They are suppose to have GPS, but borrowed/rented really crappy gas cart from the Abby golf course across the street. Range balls, that's a joke. Small bag for 20 balls, $5.00. Pins were not in the right place according to the pin sheet. Bad attitude from the pro shop.

Great course! I always play the tips and shot 75 from there. The greens are super quick and the course layout is amazing. Lots of pretty holes, but the one thing that really was bad was the bunkers were in horrible shape! That’s the only down fall. Great course and will be back soon

Course had some dry spots but overall the greens were great and would come back.

Beautiful course. Condition exceptional.

Lots of bunkers make the course tough when teamed up with lightning fast greens and tough pin placements.

Can't wait to get out here again.

I’ve played this course a few times over the years. I thought everything about the course was great.

I did not play it was too crowded!! Was afraid of corna19. Can I get credit?

You can’t expect much more of a golf course than this; it was beautiful, in extremely good condition, and had a nice layout. I also must mention how fantastic their golf carts were, top notch; clean, super comfy, had the built in Bluetooth speakers and a gps system with a large screen. Of course it’s a little pricey, but for the conditions and amenities it’s well worth it.

Got to play the North course today for the first time! For only being 15 years old it’s a very mature course!! The layout was great!!! Only issue was the sand traps. But after so much rain last night it is slightly expected. They need way more sand! Otherwise I’ll definitely be returning to play it again!! Try it out!!!

If you have the privilege of playing golf in central Florida you have got to put this course on your must play list. I work in the golf industry in central Florida and I get to play all the best public and some private courses. This definitely one of the best. Shot/club selection, approach shot accuracy, reading greens and putting speed control will be tested. These course conditions are to par with the course difficulty. If the weather doesn't interfere with your day, you will really test your skill. You won't have the course as an excuse.

Absolutely love going here. Had to wait for carts but well worth the wait. Big greens and testy putts. They honestly ate me up but going from the local course to something this prestine is a big change. Recommend!!!!!

Huge in every way. Holes for the most part have great separation. The fairways and greens are immense and trouble is hard to find unless you really spray the ball. Greens were very fast and most were immaculate. Putts from above the hole or with significant side hill break either go in or finish 6-8 feet from the hole. There are a few areas that could be improved such as weed infestation on some greens and the quality of sand in the bunkers. There were a few wash-out areas from recent rains. The homes located on the course are also huge and are well back so as not to be in play. The house to the left of # 18 North looks like it should be a hotel !!

Overall a good day and GolfNow provides rates that are manageable.

South and North are both a must play. Two different layouts, both in great condition

They employees are standing by the rules. All the carts are disinfected, spray bottles of disinfectant on every hole, the course is in A-1 condition. There are groundskeepers working on the whole course everyday.

Some like the South course better but I think that they are both great I took 3 people that had never played there and they were very impress.. This course should be on your list to play when your in the Tampa/Westly Chappal

Course was in great shape, greens held approach shots and rolled great! They had a hand sanitizer spray bottle on each hole. Highly recommend the course!!!

Played a several times and always enjoy it. Course always in great condition, tee blocks, fairways, rough, and greens. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Very nice layout that is challenging and fair, especially if you select the proper tee blocks for your game. Will be back!!!
