About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

Great course hope to play one more time before going north
Wonderful Course
The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is that there are no ball washers and very little trash containers. What a beautiful course, congrats, and I hope to be back soon!!!
Outstanding
Outstanding conditioned course. Pace of play was excellent. Course had a challenging layout with elevated tees and elevated greens. I would recommend this course to anyone and this course is suitable to hold a tournament.
Bring your “A game”
Just a beautiful day. Everything was so very nice how ever the pace of play was not that great but hey it’s a weekend so that’s when everyone comes out.
Jolly good coutse
Driving range stations too close together heard many folks complain. Spotty fairways but dormant season. When in Tampa area always like to play North more than South course
Lake Jovita-you get what you expect
The course is in very good shape for the time of year. Greens are pure and fast. Fairways are tight as grass is yet dormant. Rough is dry and dormant also. Did play as a 3some and done in 4 hrs as course had a good pace. Did get a hot time so value for what you get is very good. We did play north course, I like the south better yet
1 hour and 20 minutes to play 3 holes
Tried to play on 1/27/18. Came to course and discovered GolfChannel AM Tour event there that day. Took 1 hour and 20 minutes to play 3 holes. Drove up to 4th tee and two groups still waiting in front of us. Went in and got rain check. Not much of an apology from Pro Shop. Place seemed pretty overwhelmed by the event there. Too bad, looked like nice course, but worse pace of play ever experience.
Great value
North course is long and open with big fast greens. If you could eliminate or redesign the 10th and 11th holes it would be one of the best courses in Florida. I do not like the South course it is the opposite it is tight with a lot of water and tricked up holes skip it.

Nice course, good layout, friendly wide fairways. True greens
Not bad for the money.
Nice course,little ruff in areas. But it's winter so expected. Design was so so. Would recommend some changes to holes, but all in all well worth the money. Would recommend free range balls or 4 bucks for a bag not 8 bucks little steap.
nice layout
Very enjoyable layout. In decent shape. Lots of bunkers. Pace was very slow, looked like a family two groups ahead, no carts on fairways on some holes did not help pace. First course where we never saw a ball washer on whole course..........can't figure that one out.
Best course in the area
Love both these courses. Played the north today and it was in perfect condition, with the greens rolling super fast. Will be back soon for sure.
Great Course
This is a great course, always in good condition. Most fairways are wide and forgiving with enough strategically placed bunkers. Greens are brutally tough, usually fast and seldom a flat putt on the course. Do not leave a putt above the hole or you might pay dearly.
Perfect Day
First class staff, course was in great shape. Greens were fast and so was pace of play! Everything was perfect. If you get the chance play Lake Jovita.
