Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course

The best of the 4 courses we played in this trip. Fairways and greens are all decent and acceptable given the low green fees. Must play. Will come.back for the South course.

Easily one of the nicest courses around a must play

The course was in good shape. The greens were lightning fast but true. It was a treat to be putting on the greens. Fairways were in good shape but they are also being worked on. Overall, it was a very enjoyable to play the North Course.

We had great conditions on the course and it was challenging. I would recommend this golf course as the best so far in Florida.

I really enjoyed the North course. Fairways were in great shape fast greens. Pace of play was excellent. Be careful around water looking for balls, did see a 7 ft gator. Overall a really great round. I'll play there again for sure.

A beautiful well layed out PGA quality course, try it out.

Course was in great shape, the greens were fast, but the pace of play was a bit slow at 4.75 hrs.

Any of the minor flaws that this course might have are more than compensated for by the fact that the greens were great. Really Fair and challenging green complexes, very fast ran very true made the round really enjoyable. the range, however, was a disaster and from what the staff told me it wasn’t unusual. We were hitting off mud. If they can make the greens that nice you think they’d bbe able to grow some grass on the range I don’t remember ever saying this but I would’ve rather had off mats.

Always a treat to play LJ North. Very good shot values on a well conditioned golf course. It's one that I play several times during my winter stay in Florida and I'm never disappointed.

Changes in elevation were the highlights of my experience; which could not be distracted by the 5-some (members) that Jack the starter had in front of us or the 4-some of members in individual carts that hit into us on the last 3 holes (our pace of play was 3:50) could detract from. I'd definitely would play again at that price but not more than that. Greens were around 11 and the Bermuda rough was...ouch!

Great private course but the fairways were somewhat thin and the greens bordered on unfair...bottom line, booked and play a round for yourself...

This facility is loaded with great potential but lacks basic maintenance of the grounds. Although the on course conditions are slightly above average, the surrounding grounds are full of weeds, the cart paths are in terrible condition and the practice facilities are in horrible condition for such a beautiful piece of property. It is obvious that major investment will be required before this gem can return to it's glory days.

Great course. The pace was slow, we waited on every hole, 4 hrs. 45 min. to play.

The driving range has no grass, but the course is great!!! Large fast greens make it a great day on the golf course.

We booked the North course 4 days in advance of playing. We booked an early tee time as we were catching a flight home later in the day. We gave ourselves plenty of time to leave, clean up and catch our flight, or so we thought. We arrived for our 10:27 tee time to be told that due to a tournament there weren’t any carts available.

We waited until 10 minutes past our time to get our carts. Upon arriving at the starter we were than told that they were running a minimum 30 minutes behind. This was at almost 10:40. We told them we had to leave at a certain time only to be met by a shrug. I went back to the pro shop and was met by “there isn’t anything we can do.” We drove back to the starters stand and he wasn’t there so we drove through to the first tee where we met the starter half way back. It turns out we inadvertently bypassed four groups that were waiting on the tee and this was 30 minutes after our scheduled tee time.

We later found out that due to a clerical error they had booked a 150 man tournament but we’re a week out on the date! How this happens is beyond me!! They then decided to transfer everyone from the south course on to the North course causing major delays. From what we understood they had discovered this a few days before. Instead of contacting us and explaining the situation and giving us the option of not playing or finding another course to play, we were herded like cattle with no options.

What should have been a 4 hr round with lots of time to get to the airport, turned into a 6 hr round and a mad rush to the airport.

The course itself was in fantastic shape and under different circumstances would have been a treat to play but the treatment we received left a sour taste in our mouths and we will likely not return!

On the plus side our cart girl Tiffany was a bright spot on an otherwise dreary day!!!! She was the only reason we kept our sanity for the entirety of our round! Thank you Tiffany!
