About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

After playing the South Course last summer, I was hoping for another great track. It was a pretty easy and straight forward course. The green speeds rolled a little inconsistent for me. Love all of the hills and slopes. Definitely enjoy the South Course a lot more, but this course is worth giving a shot.
Will play again
Played this with a hot time tee time. The course was in very nice shape,the area is in need of rain. The fairways were tight lies/short grass. The greens did roll nice. I got paired with another single and we were done in over 3 hrs. As never caught anyone with a 1:45 tee time
Great course!
I have played this course about 10 times and enjoy it every time. It's a fair, but fun course to play and it was in great shape!
Lake Jovi take golf club
This course has a lot of sandifferent bunkers. The course is in excellent condition. The greens were great. A little pricey, but worth it through Golf Now.
Easy on the eyes
Great course great conditions for this time of year compared to most; lots of fun golf shots out there and challenging greens!
Course ammenities
Very few trash bins or ball washers at most tees, only one bathroom on course. Beverage cart was great on course, but water stations much too infrequent on hot days.
Fiv and a half hour to play
Despite a call to the club house during the game for an unreasonable delay of playing time and even if an official came to our group, nothing was done to settle the situation and improve the playing Time of the two groups before us. The person with the canteen, apologized for the delay but was unable to do anything.
My favorite nearby course
I loved this course. You absolutely had to think your way around the whole place, and I enjoyed it. The conditions were fantastic.
Pace of play was just average, but I think we were behind a very large group, so I wasn't too worried about it (the guys I was playing with were very frustrated though).
One weird thing is I tried to hit the range before my round, but was told it was closed for maintenance. Not a huge deal, but when I drove up to the practice green, there was a college team that was all hitting balls on the range. Not the biggest deal, but clearly there was no maintenance being done on it, so I'm not sure why I wasn't allowed to hit balls too.
I'm writing this off as a one-off weird situation though because I absolutely intend to be back.

Beautiful
First time here. Was on a hot deal so I'm sure I saved a bundle. Only problem was getting food. Called ahead and was told that getting lunch would be no problem. WRONG! If you want to dine upstairs it takes forever!! I think they are way understaffed! PLUS - $7 for a hot dog? Eat before you get here!!!!
The course itself is great. Guy in pro shop was very helpful!
Great Test of Golf Shots
It was our first time on the North Course having played the South Course multiple times. The course is very challenging but not tricked up. It requires you to think out and plan each shot. We will definitely play it again.
Very Nice Course
This was the nicest course we've played yet. Definitely worth playing. The staff was super friendly.

Lake Jovita -South
Great lay out with plenty of challenges, warning to all that #1 is a tough par 4 that can challenge the best shot maker. My group enjoyed every hole, the greens are challengirng with subtle unjations. Seen lots of birds and a couple small alligators. Go play it!
