About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

One of my Favorite courses to play in Tampa
Always a joy to play, course conditions were perfect , great shape!!!!! North course.
Greens are true and fast .

Still a favorite
Still one of my favorite courses around. Great lay out and very fair. Tees are fair as well. Pick your poison for distance.
Great greens
Played a 3hr+ round as a twosome. Tees, fairways and greens are in fabulous shape. Played a hot-deal rate that made it even better.
ALL the sand traps were in horrible condition and unraked and weedy. No rakes at all. Told later that the locals play it is possible or take relief behind the trap.It appears the the priority is the South course damaged in IRMA.

Lake Javida north course is beautiful and challenging. You got to go play this one.
great elevation changes
from the time i entered the pro shop to the time my foursome finished lunch it was a wonderful experience. the starter got us out a little early after we hit a free bag of golf balls and tested the putting greens. some of the holes offer a panoramic view of the surrounding counties and the various elevation changes were a pleasant change from most of the flat florida courses we had been playing. the tee boxes and fairways were in great shape and the numerous sand traps were strategically
placed . the greens were multi level, undulating and fast. bring your "A" game. after the round we had lunch in the clubhouse, everyone had something different and we were all very happy as we left this course. if you don't try the chili you are missing out. we can't wait to play here again.
Lake jovita wow
This course was in fabulous condition fairways were green no trimmings on the ground. The greens were in great shape for being in the middle of summer. I would recommend this course to all of my friends. Hope to go again soon.
Jovita north, great golf
The course was in excellent shape from the well manicured fairways to the quick and true rolling greens. Only negative was the round took almost 5 hours to complete.
Cranky old golfers yell at you for anything you do that they don't like.

Liked the layout, they had just aerated the greens which was about the only bad thing
Best Condition in over 2 years
This course is a fantastic layout compared to most Florida courses with hills, steep fairway bunkers, etc. The greens are in the best condition in years and you can tell great care is being applied to both courses.
GreT shape. Greens were beautiful but slow for this place. Still better greens than most places
Great Golf
Coarse was in great shape dispite the drought we have. Greens were great. Pace of play was just OK. Will go back again!!
Excellent service from start to finish from all staff. Course was in great condition. Somewhat challenging. would probably be more difficult if the area wasn't so dry. would highly recommend trying this course.
North course
Fair layout with ample room. Enjoyable to play with several tees for a good variety. Impressive shape for area conditions , would enjoy playing again .
Put on the "Must Play List"
Lake Jovita is one of the finest 36 hole facilities in Central Florida. Played the North Course, and it was in excellent condition from tees, to fairways, to bunkers, to the greens. This course is both challenging, but fair with 5 sets of tees to pick to match to your abilities. Well worth the price, and time to get to.
CONDITIONS
- course conditions are dry, but not so much as other courses in the area. Staff has done a great job in maintaining good conditions during this extremely period in Florida.
- course layout is excellent. Very beautiful course.
- one downside, that is not ONE ball washer on the course.
- very few watering stations on the course.
