Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course

I love this course!! Long course but fairways are wide open . Big hitters will be love this one . Greens will make u " nuts " . Please read those green or they will punish u.

Great day, awesome weather, greens rolling nice. I would recommend this course, for the price there is not a better deal around.

As a first time player I and my friends were quite pleased with our experience. We played after lunch with no delays. The variety of holes made for an interesting round. We were surprised by the hills and valleys as well as close cut fairways . Greens were fast but true. We plan on making future trips

Green's rolled great but had numerous diseases and wild grass growing. North front 9 fairways lacked grass creating bad lies with excessive dirt spots and back was slightly better but also needs attention. Course design outstanding especially challenging greens. Staff lacks customer relations skills but in their defense were focusing on members. Experience on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best would be a 4 below average. No plans to play in the future many better options.

We play this course nearly every year in our annual golf vacation in January, This course was is great shape. The greens were probably the fastest that we played during the week. Very nice layout. Some good challenging holes. Most fairways are generous. The only ding is that we didn't see the beverage cart but once the whole round and that was on #9.

I bought a round here for my wife's birthday and as we drove in, we were impressed by the homes, the clubhouse, all was "country club atmosphere". We had each spent over 30 years in the golf business, so we know what we're talking about.

They seemed to have a cart person ride out petiodically to greet and load up arrivals. Unfortunately, none came out for us, but we went to the shop, got the cart and got ready to go.

With the exception of the TV going, the pro shop might be confused with a library. No conversation at all and the 2 guys behind the counter were busy concentrating on their computer screens. I walked to the counter, silence. I gave my name and teetime, silence. I was wordlessly given a receipt, then back to the screens. No "How are you today?", "Have you played here before?", or "Would you like some practice balls to warm up?". Crickets.

I then asked if they sold golf socks. "Over ther, left of the TV". He speaks! "$12.84" . "Sign here". That was it.

After some wandering around and following gestures from others, we found the starter and started our round. I have to say this is one fine course. Smooth, fast greens that would hold shots and all well manicured. Unfortunately we were behind a foursome of people who could barely walk so we were 5 to 10 minutes between shots. These were folks with little blue flags allowing them to pull their cart right to the edge of the green, from which they would shuffle to their ball, and eventually to the hole, then back to the cart. Thankfully they quit after 9 and the back was smooth sailing.

We were 3 hours on the front and 1.5 on the back. All and all we enjoyed the course but, personally, I would fire the staff.

Thoughtfully placed bunkers, greens in great shape, fairways a bit spotty in places but otherwise great. Loved the rolling hills and the very nice staff. Definitely recommend. Get a hot deal to make more reasonable.

Really enjoyed the layout and moss covered oaks. I liked the length from the whites Used all my clubs

The North course was in great condition. Forgiving fairways, but challenging and sloping greens. The pace of play was great.

I haven't played Lake Jovita in a couple years, but I will now.

I absolutely love this course. The first time I played the North Course, I was really surprised to see that there was no turn - hole #9 goes straight to hole #10 - leaving you in the middle of your round far away from the club house. I wish the pro-shop would have notified us of that since we were waiting to eat. Other than that, the greens were in excellent condition and the scenery was gorgeous. The amenities are very nice as well. Free range balls, nice driving range, and a large putting area. This course provides various challenges to any type of golfer, and one I'd certainly recommend to anyone.

Love the North Course! Greens were in impeccable shape--fast and true. Can't beat the price at this course--had to jump at the opportunity.

I love to play at Lake Jovita and will play more every now and then.

Played the North Course on an overcast afternoon for the Golf Now Twilight rate $45. This hilly course is wide open with Big features that make it feel straight out of Northern Arizona. The greens were in terrific shape and provide many different placements. This course is so much fun to play because every hole seems like an entirely different experience. The course was recently over seeded or I would have rated the conditions as being 10/10. Still was 8/10. Wind makes this course brutal. A fun afternoon.

I played Lake Jovita North Course yesterday afternoon and the course was in great shape. The greens were in great shape and fast. Great challenging layout.

I want to challenge this course again. It was good condition.

The greens were in great shape, they rolled true, were fast, and the pin placements were difficult but fair. The course layout was challenging, yet playable. I recommend every golfer seriously evaluate their talent level before selecting which tees to play. The holes are long and require skillful shot placement. The staff was perfect all the way around.

With that said, the members of this golf club were some of the rudest, classless, and disrespectful people I have ever played with. While playing our round, the group ahead of us did not replace the pin several times - this is day 1, class 1, on the lesson in golf etiquette. The second time, I drove up and requested to replace the pin. The response was not welcoming. We finish the hole, and they allow my group to play through - we play very fast. On that hole, they played into us and the hole after that. The senior tees are in the fairway. Needless to say, four geriatrics should've received a lesson from us. That was the front nine.

The back nine we played behind an 8-some and in front of a husband and wife who rushed us nearly every hole.
