St. Johns Golf & Country Club

St John’s golf and country club is one of north Florida’s hidden gems. With a beautiful course matched with friendly staff, makes this my favorite course to play over and over. Great practice facility. Well mancuried fairways and tour level greens. The pro shop carries all the standard items with a wide selection in ball if needed (no Bridgestone’s as of 6/9). The grille hours vary however if you can snag a fried chicken BLT wrap, I suggest you do! All in all a great golfing experience for every level.

The greens and been punched and sanded a few days ago and it looked like they hadn’t even watered them afterwards. I didn’t have a problem with this, my problem was that it should have been noted when I made my reservation. Ruined my round. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, it was cart path only on most of the holes as well??? The only thing missing was a kick in the groin on the 1st tee to start my round.

I have played this course many times in the past and never had a problem so a few weeks ago when I had a bad experience I considered it a fluke.... until now! The staff is Rude!! The course was chaos golfers jumping all over , picking what ever holes they wanted to play, no rhyme nor reason. My friend and I paid for 18 and were told after 14 it was time for us to go in as it was too dark(North East Florida sunset is 830 and dusk last for another hour)It was 730 PM plenty of light and no cut off time had been announced when we paid to play. Residents were emerging from their homes and chipping on the greens! One guy had multiple balls all over the pin and refused to move after repeated calls of "FOUR!" The cart attendant told us time to go and let the resident chip on and told another pair it was fine if they finished!!?? We won't play here again.

Good greens that were very fast. Fairways in good condition. Sand traps well maintained. Cart attendant was very helpful.

Greens are very fast, a couple of them are being worked on but they put the pin in a place to were that wouldn’t effect you. Course needs to be watered more. Fairways are in good shape some burnt areas do to the high heat and no rain. I’ve played the two other courses within a mile of this one and this has been my favorite so far!

My twosome was placed with another twosome. Our combined handicaps are 14 total between us both. We were placed with someone and his partner who has played exactly 4 times in the last 40 years. Why can't this site or the pro shop adjust groups accordingly?

I had a fun day playing golf with my future son-in-law. The course was in excellent condition and the pace of play was perfect!

My wife and I had a great experience. Clubhouse was and pro shop were very nice as was their friendly staff. Had a really good lunch before we played. The course itself was extremely enjoyable and a fantastic value. Greens were ok, but we actually ran into the general manager out on one of the greens who told us they were planning to redo/upgrade all of them with new turf. My only wish was for a cooler and more drinking water and to see the beverage cart more often.

More than a twenty minute delay. Waited on almost every shot. Great day, good conditions almost a 445 round when we finally went out.

Have played this course several times in past years. Still a good NE Florida test. Course played fast and firm due to lack of rain in this area for past several weeks. Greens are fast, so imperative to stay below the hole whenever possible. Not much in the way of hidden trouble, maybe one or two holes. 9th and 18th holes are very good finishing holes and the rest of the course sets up very well.

This used to be a private course, but now available for play by all. Don't know how that will work out going forward. Usually quality goes down somewhat, but only time will tell. My advice would be to play this course soon if you have the opportunity. Certainly the best of the CR 210 corridor courses.

First of all, this is the second time I have come out to St. John's Golf and CC and had an issue. The range was closed, due to a broken picker. I was told by the pro shop operator that they were understaffed and didn't know why. That was disappointing because it's the second time I have been out and the range has been closed for whatever reason.

Here is where I am really frustrated by experience: I get to the driving range, meet the starter and I was told that I am not going to be able to play at my agreed upon 3:21 tee time. The starter tells me that he paired up a later tee time (some 30 minutes later) with my tee time to make a foursome. He then proceeds to tell me that I can play by myself if I'd like or pair up with someone a little later. Keep in mind that sunset is at 7:57pm so I don't really have any options at this point. The tee sheet is pretty empty and some folks had gamed the system by booking later tee times to join up and I was stuck out in the cold. I booked the tee time because I knew that it would be with other players (not a fan of playing by myself - solo scores don't count per USGA handicap rules, either). I am super frustrated by the staff and the general lack of understanding. The starter needs to be fired and St. John's Golf and CC needs to honor the tee times, as purchased, from GolfNow. I will be seeking a full refund from GolfNow. I was offered a raincheck but will never play at this club ever again and recommend avid golfer to AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!

Staff was great. Accomadated us with an alternate tee time after we went to the wrong St Johns golf course.

I would recommend this course to anyone that enjoys to get out and just play golf. The greens were very fast to the point you had to take your time to read your lines. Very enjoyable course, will definitely be back .

Time play Very good, less that 4 hours. People sympatic. Surprised by less quality then past years, from tee off to greens. However,, it a very good golf experience.

Played St Johns Golf and Country on April 7. Course was in beautiful condition and everyone that worked there was helpful and polite. Fairways were well manicured and kept, leading to nice lies. Greens were fast, and in great shape. Good mix of sand and water in the course, but wide and forgiving fairways if you're a little off center from the tee.

Course was in very good condition. Greens had just been sanded.

Played first round at St. John’s G&CC since last year. Challenging layout. Fastest greens around but waiting for grass to grow in. If you have a chance to play this course do it.
