Palm Valley Golf Club

About
Since opening in 1989, Palm Valley Golf Club has become a favorite among locals for the extremely affordable rates and enjoyable round. Surrounded by acres of horse farms in the heart of Nocatee, the golf course offers an idyllic and relaxing game. The nine-hole layout consists of two par 4s and seven par 3s. The golf course is ideal for beginners or for golfers looking for a casual round, but don't be mistaken: It is not a simple pitch-and-putt. Palm Valley Golf Club features well manicured target greens bordered by sand bunkers and water comes into play throughout. In addition to the golf course, Palm Valley also offers a 10,000-square-foot putting green, the largest in the area.

Only good for working on your wedge gane
First the pros: they were super nice when you stop in to get a tee time. Never been there and pro shop guy showed me the layout of the course. Looks like they have a great driving range with top tracer that’s fairly new. I’d recommend that.
Now for the cons: basically a par three course. Two “par fours” one shirt par for and one that should be a long par three. But mostly just SW, PW, and GW all day. The greens are absolutely horrid. Don’t even bother putting on them. See pics. If you zoom in you’ll see tons of weeds and dead spots.
Super nice people, but definitely not worth my 30-40 min drive from the Ft. Caroline area.
Good practice
as always... the course is enjoyable for what it is... an easy walking 9 holes for practice or learning course for new/young golfers. course is very short and overall in decent condition. some greens better than others (not reliable for reading/practicing putting). some improvement since last played and glad to see PV is hanging in there!
Now I’ve seen it all !
Years ago this was an ok pitch and putt type. Not fancy but to work on some irons for 10-12$ we could deal with it.
Starting in 2021 the course became a cow field. Greens overrun with weeds, tee areas 80% sand…
We gave up. Was in the area this week and decided to see if there were improvements. Nope ! But get this - they doubled the price 🤣🤣🤣
Never ever coming back. Not worth $10 let alone $27
GOOD PRACTICE
PV is a good quick practice round and nice walk. Greens are rough in areas but playable. Tee boxes moved around some since last playing there. Fairways good overall to hit a shot...Good value overall and joined up with a couple older guys and had a good time. PV layout is on a nice little tract of land with potential to be a great 9 hole course!
Quick pitch and putt on a winter day
Came out mid day on a blustery and cool Winter day. The tee boxes were covered better than usual, but the greens still need lots of TLC. The night green still a temporary.
Not very crowded, and overall a fun experience to practice some short irons.
Good course for kids and short game practice
Overall course condition can be improved specially the greens. Ideal course for kids and elders learning the game.
i have just recently got into golf; that being said for someone looking for a casual, easy going, new player experience, this course is amazing! i had a lot of fun practicing my short game and improving, all for a great price! staff was super nice and the other golfers around were extremely patient and helpful when i made mistakes. will definitely be coming back!
GOOD PRACTICE
Palm Valley is great for practice... course is easily walkable and overall in good condition. few greens and tee boxes a little rough but cant beat a good walk on the course.
Great walking course
Great course to work on short game… yeah tee boxes and greens need some work, but overall great value for the money. Busy course but players are courteous and let you play thru if there is room, but overall moves pretty good.
Depends on what you are looking for
So how you view this course will depend on what you are looking for. If you simply want an inexpensive place to work on your game - this is it. If you are looking for swanky town - keep looking - this ain’t it. Huge range (grass and mats). Friendly staff. Small greens and enough bunkers and water to make it interesting. Some greens are really tuff and some are alright. Tee boxes are challenging/ generally not enough grass. But you usually get what you pay for. Good value in a convenient location. Not great, but I can make it work. I’ll be back.
