Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne
About
Subtle but enticing, Crandon is a well-planned challenge built in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. In 1993, a redesign by von Hagge brought new greens and bunker configurations. Formerly known as "The Links at Key Biscayne" Crandon Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami.
The course has the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.
You can see crocodiles (they have three), numerous raccoons and Jurassic-sized iguanas darting across the course. The blue and tri-colored herons, white ibises, snowy egrets, pelicans and anhinga grace the fairway roughs and saltwater banks.
From the first hole - a dogleg par 5 that requires a drive over water and mangroves - to the last - another par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway - Crandon Park Golf Course has, in many ways, become Miami-Dade's signature public golf course.

Poor management
Unable to finish our round and told to finish our round on #15. Not a single marshal all day and had to wait on every shot. Nothing was being monitored on the course. I drove 1 1/2 hrs to play this course and I will not do it again.
Black Shirt and Rain day
Hi , in my experience in key biscayn starter didn’t let me play because I was wearing a black shirt I ask him a solution and he tell my bought a shirt or I refund your money . I was alredy in the club car ready to my tee time so I bought a shirt in the pro shop . The greens are trash .
Also they let my only play 8 holes because it was raining when I ask them for my refund of 9 holes they tell my talk with GolfNow .
Bad day, bad greens, bad experience
Beat course in Miami!
Crandon is by far the best and most beautiful course in Miami. Staff can be intense but that’s usually only on the first two holes. Ignore them, keep going and enjoy the scenery and the golf.
Course is not maintained at all right now
I was super disappointed with the condition of the course - fairways, greens, teeboxes, everything. The entire course was dried out and the grass was dead everywhere. No point in hitting the fairway since you can't hit off of dead grass.
There were no marshalls on the course holding people accountable to the 4 hour window they should be finishing 18 holes in, and it took us 5 hours and 15 minutes to play.
Unless the course does right by its customers (us), I can't see myself returning to this course.
Not as good as advertised
I heard a lot of glowing things about this course before I played it, but it wasn’t as advertised. The fairways, greens, and tees were not at the quality level for the full price. It was decent for what I paid to play. But, I would have been disappointed if I had paid the full $95. The club house and even the driving range set you up for a better experience than the course delivers. The grass on the fairways is not even in quality or cut, the sand traps have stones in them, and the first cut on the greens is too high. The only saving grace is that the speed of the greens, though slow, are fairly consistent. I would recommend the course to others, but make sure they understand what they are getting for the dollar.
This course is a great challenge.
This course was a great challenge; however, my game of play was not the best it could have been due to cart path only. Select fairways could’ve been 90 degree play. The excessive walking took a lot out of the play.. Despite all, I look forward to playing it again.
Great Track When in Miami
Awesome layout and challenging holes! Great par 3s. Overall conditions tee to green were great even with recent heavy rains!!!
