Miami Springs Golf & Country Club
About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

Nice course needs some work
Nice greens, poor fairway, friendly layout. It would a great old course if the fairway can be fixed up to premium level.
Amazing value
Course was in pretty solid shape other than some areas under repair. For the price, I don’t think there is anyplace nearby that can compare. Staff was super friendly. I love that there is a range on site as well. 19th hole had amazing food and everything is very affordable. I don’t think I’ll go play anywhere else.
Great Greens / So So Fairways
The greens were almost immaculate and most cases. Unfortunately, the fairways were the exact opposite. When you were in the fairway, it was tough to find a decent lie.
Please resod the fairways and move the tee boxes back!
Not sure where the tax payer improvement money went but the 19th hole is fantastic! I love this course and thankfully the greens are still nice. The fairways are lift and place but you’ll have to look around for the grass.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The Good: The greens were actually the best part of the course. They were maintained well
The Bad: The tee boxes were in bad shape. They need to set up temporary boxes, scrape the old clean and start over.
The Ugly: Fairways were beyond brutal. I used to live in Miami Springs and have played this course for decades. I have never seen the fairways in such poor shape. Almost impossible to find a patch of grass to place your ball on where you weren't standing in dirt. Has to be some sort of fungus that has eaten anything green on the fairways. Hope this gets resolved as it's always been a fun course to play
Wonderful course
Wonderful course. Very enjoyable. greens were in great shape. Friendly staff . Especially the young lady that checks us in at pro shop. Always a friendly smile.
Disappointing
The course is in bad shape, except for the greens. Sad having been redone not long ago.
Course need more work
The course is still in bad conditions and the plyers also don’t help. Many players around de greens with the golf cars.
Need a ranger
Fairways rough. Greens fair to good, bunkers maintained.
This course is playable. The fairways are bare but if you play improve your lie you can find grass to hit from. Around the greens are kept in decent shape so overall a good round can be played here. If you pay full price better options can be had. But obtaining a price of $65 or lower is a decent deal. Layout is good. White tees play long with several 420 yd par 4’s and 200yd par 3’s. Gold tees make a more enjoyable round unless you hit driver 260+. The other less than desirable issue is pace of play. It can be all over the place. I have played 5+ hour rounds several times but, I have also played sub 3.5 hour rounds. Hit or miss. No ranger to regulate pace. Cart girl makes rounds frequently and patiently lets you hit your shot before asking if you need service. Could be better but could be a lot worse 3.5 would be a fair rating.
Miami Springs
Fairways are just horrible, everything else I guess is ok. Fairways are just that bad
Not worth your money
The greens are the best part of this course, but unfortunately the fairways are in very poor condition—mostly dirt and very patchy.
During my round, workers were cutting down trees on the back nine and left equipment on the bridges, making it difficult to cross. At one point, I had to wait about five minutes for them to come move a parked tractor they had left on the bridge. On top of that, workers were walking in front of the greens while players were trying to hit.
It made the experience frustrating and took away from what could be a nice course. With better maintenance and coordination, this place could be much better.
