Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne
About
Subtle but enticing, Crandon is a well-planned challenge built in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. In 1993, a redesign by von Hagge brought new greens and bunker configurations. Formerly known as "The Links at Key Biscayne" Crandon Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami.
The course has the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.
You can see crocodiles (they have three), numerous raccoons and Jurassic-sized iguanas darting across the course. The blue and tri-colored herons, white ibises, snowy egrets, pelicans and anhinga grace the fairway roughs and saltwater banks.
From the first hole - a dogleg par 5 that requires a drive over water and mangroves - to the last - another par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway - Crandon Park Golf Course has, in many ways, become Miami-Dade's signature public golf course.

Bravo
Wow, great layout on terrific shape. The setting is extraordinary and the wildlife is certainly something I’ve never encountered!
Highly recommend this course but it is a very tough golf course. Distance control is crucial to low scoring.
PLAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE
COURSE IS DESTROYED, should be closed. They will charge you full price and say it’s your fault you decided to drive to their course. Guy in pro shop said he’s the owner (embarrassed for him it’s a county owned facility he thinks because I’m young I will believe anything) Listen, you’re better off taking your bag and a bucket of range balls to crandon beach and hitting them into the ocean than you are booking a tee time here. Conditions are terrible from tee to green gps on carts is 10+ yds off compared to laser, no course management or knowledge the starter didnt even know what day it was or what a double dog leg is.... JUST PLAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE DONT GIVE THIS COURSE ANY MONEY THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUEST.
The absolute worst customer service + course you can play
Greens are torn up, u can’t putt on them. When asked for a replay when things are better was told no... lost business forever. Will never play here again gm got in my face over asking for a refund stating he owns the property( owned by the city ) what a joke Trump was right this course is destroyed beyond repair
Please don’t play it.
This is a hidden gem in south florida, and I’m not sure why I’m doing a review as I’d like fewer people to know about it. I play golf in the greater Miami area 2-4 times a year and this is a “must play” on my list.
Very challenging course
It depends what time of year if you play in the summer , you best play early otherwise you’ll get hit with rain storms.
Other than that beautiful course
I was told the course was supposed to have spectacular views however I did not think so, I went from playing the courses at Trump doral to this course so that may be the reason I was so unimpressed with the conditions and views. I believe this course needs to lower its prices. There was a lot of wildlife though which was great. Back 9 is much better than front.
Bring your A Game
Awesome course but will play tough if you don't have your A game. Tends to be breezy and with the mangroves boarding several holes you must hit it straight or risk loosing a ton of balls. Great layout and very challenging.
challenging track, very good conditions, will play agian.
Great setting, but too expensive given the conditions
Poor pace of play, so with the reduced fee after 2pm impossible to finish 18 during this time of the year.
No control on the course, poorly staffed, therefore everybody does what he/she wants, hence the relatively poor condition of the course. Maintenance has been evidently been reduced since our last visit.
Now the setting and course design continues to be superb and that won’t change, yet for the hefty price tag you’re paying, you would expect a course better organized and in better conditions.
Iguanas for everyone lol
Beautiful venue..first time playing there..overall great experience even though heavy rains right up to when we played so course must drain well. Would have been nice to at least have a 150 yd marker though as it was cart path only and lack of distance markers made it tough on a few holes..my gps died.
Will def play again
