About
Originally opened in 1923, Miami Beach golf club was given an $11 million face-lift and reopened in 2002. The result is a championship layout masterfully designed by world-renowned architect Arthur Hills. The course sits quietly nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, minutes from South Beach and scores of world-class hotels, restaurants.
When you first play this course, you may think it has been designed exclusively for long hitters. Don't worry -- many holes are dogleg designs that allow you to bite off a good portion of the distance with good tee shots. Greens are well bunkered and elevated.
Several beautiful and strategically placed lakes enhance the charm of the course.
The once tired and under-utilized Bayshore has now become the elegant and highly regarded Miami Beach Golf Club.

Good but could improve
I believe that is missing some amenities like cold water during the round, wet towel in this hot weather and a possibility of a cooler at caddie cart.
Offseason Round - Worth It
I played MBGC on a Thursday in August. The club wasn’t busy and the course was pretty much wide open. When I arrived, I checked in at the pro shop and was met welcoming attitudes. The staff seemed genuinely hopeful that I enjoyed the course and the round. The starter was also very friendly and showed me around the practice facility. He said I could warm up and when I was ready, he’d get me out. The course itself was in good shape despite it being the offseason. The greens started fast and actually slowed down in the afternoon. Tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers were all kept up well. Quite a few grounds people were on the course during my round. The course presents some risk-reward challenges. No doubt you’ll see a few dozen iguanas at least. I finished 18 in about 2 hours and 45 minutes, which is very quick from what I experience at Chicago courses. It’s pricey, but it’s Miami Beach. You’re getting the vacation experience in one of the most iconic places in the US. Worth the money to me. I will most definitely be back and would recommend this course to anyone visiting Miami. Loved it.
Really enjoyed Miami Beach Golf Club. Somehow scored a 9:09 tee time late the night before and was impressed overall with the course. The greens had just been punched Monday, but otherwise conditions were excellent and the staff was extremely friendly. We were paired with a local member who couldn’t have been more courteous and helped us navigate several blind shots from the tees. Great experience overall and definitely a course I’d play again especially now that I know the layout and think I could shave a few strokes off the next round!
Overbooked. Overpriced.
Should not be charging half as much as what they are currently charging. Course overbooked and pace of play extremely slow. No ranger to speed up others that need to be sped up. Slow greens + covered in divots.
Once A Great Public.....now no more
8 minute intervals between tee times is okay if you have marshals on the course keeping pace of play. They DO NOT. Regular 5 hour+ rounds. Greens are destroyed with ball marks and putts will bounce bounce bounce. No matter how many times you call the front desk to tell them the group in front of you is 7 putting they never come out to enforce pace of play. Instead of having 5 guys waiting around to clean clubs why not put them on holes 4, 9, 11, 14, etc so that they can keep the pace going.
Great Course!!
Highly recommend! If you’re from Miami or even Florida you know in July courses kinda fall off with the conditions due to the weather but this course was in amazing shape! They do a great job of taking care of the course. Pace of play was good and the staff was very friendly. Great layout too!
Better than avarage in Miami
Some of the greens were in really bad shape. It usually isn’t this way. Other than that all is as I am used to here. Probably the best for your buck in Miami.
Greens need help!
One of the better courses in the area, charging more than most! Allowing conditions to deteriorate is unacceptable. Greens were a mess, more like a $35 course.
