The Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables sits next to the beautiful hotel, an architectural masterpiece that was modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain. Donald Ross designed the course in 1925 and the traditional layout has retained all of its original character. The golf course weaves through a series of canals that used to carry guests along in gondolas. The canals run alongside the lush fairways while towering banyan trees frame the elevated greens. Offering views of the historic hotel from nearly every hole, there are carts available but the golf course is worth the walk. The layout is popular not only for its historic scenery and verdant setting, but also for its playability. Over the years the Biltmore has been host to a number of professional golfers and celebrities ranging from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.

Old layout for an old golf course (100 years!). Very well maintained. Nice cart with GPS. I would go back with another good Golf Now Deal.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course.

Rom the time we arrived, to the staff, to the driving range and putting green, all were very accommodating. We enjoyed playing at Biltmore and will definitely return.

Wonderful time on a wonderful course.

We had a Fabulous time playing the Biltmore. The weather was fantastic and the course was in great shape for January. The greens were fast but overall a great time was had by all.

Over priced

Feel the Green Fees for non-residents is too pricing for what the course is. Greens were the best part of the course,
layout is okay but again from $$ stand point just okay.

A very nice old course

We were lucky enough to have a « hot deal » for this course so we decided to drive one hour to play it. The fairways were the best we have seen in South Florida in January. The greens are relatively large and are fast and true. The only weak point is the course design: too many holes turning to the left but, as far as I remember none turning right. Bizarre. Also, as is often the case, the course plays too long for ladies. However, at $50 or so, this was a steal. If I had paid $216 as often advertised, I would have been disappointed.

Top notch

It always feels like a privilege playing this course. Have been playing since I was in high school and it never disappoints. The condition of this course is immaculate right now. It’s like putting on a pool table. If you get the opportunity it’s a must play

What golf should never be

‘Unwelcome’ is the best word I can think of to describe how we felt at The Biltmore. The staff was rude and unhelpful- two different people in the pro shop and a starter. Overall, it felt like the epitome of what the average golfer hates about how uppity the game can be. Only writing the review because the random person we were paired with shared the same sentiment from a different occasion. Don’t get it twisted, we’re not golfers who show up in jeans and a t-shirt. We know the etiquette and know the game. Just not a place we’d return to.

Always over charging

Staff is rude and always a problem when paying ; they always want to over charge you fees that according to them are disclose in small letters; doesn’t happen in any of the other mami courses ; a real nightmare

Attitude Adjustment(s) Needed

I play this course regularly throughout the year and although I have stayed and play golf here at least 10-15 times over the previous 2 years, the golf staff needs to be addressed as to how they interact with their patrons, from the pro shop to the starter to the cart person. All have attitudes that I have finally come to ask why we continue to spend money there because they seemingly don't need it or care. The reason is my relatives live down the street and it's convenient. They are not at all courteous and this was not just a 1 time occurrence. Wrong people in the wrong positions. Attitude is all I can say. This is obviously a reflection of management so they must not care. Off course employees are very nice, courteous and accommodating. The golf people could take a lesson from them. I golf for the enjoyment and after walking out of the pro shop does not help with people come to this course or hotel for that matter. I could not recommend playing here.

Best Golf Course in Miami

I played a few courses while on a trip to Miami. I played Doral, Miami Shores and Crandon. I think this was by far the best course of the bunch. The starter was a bit agitating but the rest of the staff was friendly. The course itself was in impeccable shape. Greens were perfect and rolled true. I used every club in my bag and found this to be not only challenging but fun!

Awful greens

The Biltmore has a nice layout with some interesting holes. Unfortunately they aerated the day of play and didn’t remove the excess sand from the greens. The crown of all the cups were days old and damaged. The fairways were in good shape as were the bunkers, but for me the greens make it break the experience.
