The Preserve Golf Club

There are too many rivers with overgrown grass and shrubs that divide the hole. You can hit over the brush and never know where your ball goes. It could be nice but I bailed on some of the holes bc of lack of visibility

It’s been at least three months since we have been playing once a week at preserve

End, the greens have still not improves and that is sad because the fairways are great and the layout is wonderful

Played this course many times and it has a great layout. Unfortunately it’s really fallen into disrepair.

50 years playing this game and I’ve played some courses that were in bad shape, but NOTHING like this. Armadillo or gopher holes on every green with piles of dirt they dug up, tee boxes unusable to where they had the tee markers way up in the fairway to where you can drive a par 5, fairways full of crab grass I could go on and on. Just awful!!! Sad thing is I’ve played this course before and it was great. Not sure what’s happened since then, but they will never get my money again.

Intent is to work on your game when you hit it. In the rough. This is definitely the course for you. As if fairways never been mowed lol and aerated greens with holes from critter diggings.

Recently began playing a few months ago, mainly at this course. Let’s not beat around the bush here (in this case, overgrown bush), compared to other courses in the area, this place is a goat track. 90% of the tee boxes have been a mess since June. Fairways are full of weeds, the roughs are so thick that you might as well just pick your ball up and put it back on the fairway. Greens are horrendously either full of weeds, holes, or are just barren. Putting is like trekking through the Amazon. Certain holes have bush hazards that are so overgrown, you can’t see the pins. While I enjoyed playing this course to start golfing, I won’t be back anytime soon. None of my family/friends will play there anymore. Sure, it’s the cheapest course around, but you pay for what you get I suppose.

On the other hand, staff are extremely friendly and attentive to guests. Clubhouse is well kept.

That was the worst condition I’ve seen in a long time. Seems like they ran out of weed killer and the mowers all broke down at the same time. Fairways were long and weeds everywhere, rough was all weeds and 6-10 inches long, green were aerated and badly filled, weeds everywhere, deep holes all over the place. Unplayable greens. The positive, got a free beer and the staff is friendly.

I would say over the past few weeks the preserve has gotten better, and as they continue to upgrade, the tea boxes and the greens, I believe it will be a much better place to play in the future

What once was a pretty good course is now in very bad condition. Sad to see

This once was a great course. Management has let the course deteriorate. Tee boxes are not being repaired. Fairways are not properly maintained. Greens while recently punched need major work.

I would avoid this course.

Corse has a great layout but that’s about all. Greens are in ruff shape. Tee boxes are a disaster, nothing but sand and mud everywhere. Looks like nothing is being done to fix the problems.

First, the fairways are in excellent condition, and taken care of

BUT over half of the greens are so poor it is difficult to find grass to put on. We’ve been playing here for a long time and we really like the course but what are you going to do about the green bare spots ,weeds etc. on the greens make it very difficult to enjoy a good round of golf again we like the course layout we like this piece of clay we just think the greens need some help.help

The staff was nice and good club house and carts, but course is so destroyed the greens have giant holes tee boxes are the same you can’t see the flag on half the holes and overgrowth everywhere.

Guy in the pro shop was great. Very helpful and flexible with my group running late. Would highly recommend if you want to play a fun course with friendly staff.

Tee boxes are in dire need of of grass. 1/2 of them are out of commission.

This was the first time playing here. Course has a great layout. All the tee boxes were in the process of redoing. The tees were up in a doable location. We got a great price and we know that they were discounting because of the tee boxes and greens. But...we had a great time and enjoyed it. I would go back later.

We have been playing preserve all summer and have to say that the fairways are in the best shape they’ve ever been the greens, however, still have weeds and sand and holes throughout most of the greens. The tea boxes are bad, but that is not a big issue since they’ve moved the tea boxes around. I’m hoping that someday soon we will be able to play from a normal Teebox.

I believe that is hurting your comeback players

They were respriging the tee boxes, so the tee placements were very interesting. The shocker was that at any moment the sprinklers might turn on and run for 20 mins. With a tight course it was sometimes difficult to not get wet. Course layout was interesting and difficult, high growth cut off some fairways and not being familiar with the course and unable to see the fairway I was shooting at made things difficult. Also, there is a whole on the back 9 that takes a 90 degree turn and the fairway is only about 15 yards wide at that point. Had to layup twice at that turn. Friendly staff, distance book, and decent condition course.
