About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

1st time
Really enjoyed the layout of the course. Fairways were beautiful but the greens were in rough shape
Need rain badly. Not watered properly.
Played with a local mid morning and found the course virtually empty. Course is in dire need of water. The greens were potable, but not pretty. Fairways were sparse and Tee boxes need a lot of work.
No one ahead of us and we played in 2 1/2 hours. Will not be back until conditions improve. Anyone giving the four or five stars is not being honest. Practice round or locals only.

Nice course, fairways are a little dry and need rain like all courses do right now. Pace was great.

Great day at Scotland Yards
Was greeted well. Since it was my first time at SYGC man in pro shop gave me some tips about the course.
It was not crowded. Got right out and played in 3 hours 15 minutes. Course and greens in good shape, despite very little rain recently. Greens were true. Played white tees, just under 6000 yards. Course is about an hour from where I live so I won't go to often, but I highly recommend it.
Course is very playable. The layout can challenge both the beginner or advanced player.
