About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Good value
This course, like all others in this area could benefit from planting Bermuda grass in the fareways. Too many bare spots and/or spots filled with weeds in the fairways. Doesn't any course down here plan
Great place to play
This is certainly a great course for all levels of golfers. Good challenges without being too demanding. I asked a few questions about memberships and the guy in the pro shop couldn’t give me the information. Definitely will repeat and consider joining.
Good value
Course has a nice layout, conditions are improving, but need to continue to improve. Does any course in Florida plant new Bermuda seed. In bare spots ? In other states, they actually include seed in the fill for divots. Doesn't seem to be a practice down here ?
Greens in great shape.
Greens are in great shape. The rest of the course is a little rough. The drought has definitely taken an affect on this course overall. The layout is a little confusing and the front nine is very tight, but it opens up on the back side. a very challenging course from the tips.
First time playing this year
Golf cart was very slow and needed maintenance was smookie must be gas job, should of went on and report it.
The views and the design
Scotland Yard is a great course for the value has some beautiful views if you look around on alot of the holes extremely difficult in windy conditions but a great course greens are fast and run true pin placement was great the fairways are hard though in alot of areas not every hole but definitely a few of them make sure to stop at the bar afterwards and grab a burger and a beer you won’t regret it overall a great experience
Decent course to play!
Could have used a pocket pro first time playing! Greens were a little firm and a few of them slope front to back and made for some very surprised approach shots. Overall the course was in good shape, fairways had grass, greens were full!!
