Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Great price great course
From the appearance of the pro shop to the greens everything was great. Fairways were great, most divots repaired on fairways and greens. Greens were running at a good speed, not dead, actually green. Dropping some shots in the greens and no pitch marks which showed me they were hard greens immediately. Playing here again in a couple of weeks
Nice, not the best but good for the value
Nice cours, nice layout, a Bit boaring and with some tricky holes. Ok for the value.
Fairways and greens were in top condition.
Golfed here many times, this was the best fairway and greens conditions that I have seen.
Nice course
Some of the fairways were getting dried out in spots but overall a nice course to play, friendly staff and a good pace of play. Greens were in good shape and about average speed..
Great shape
Since a new owners have taken over the course just gets better and better I've been playing here since 2009 it's never been in this good of shape
Okay round
I like the course because you have to Hit good shots in order to score. The greens are very nice but a bit slow. The fairways are bare in some places and are possibly cut to short especially since we are in the dry season. The tea boxes are bare in some places and are uneven at times and difficult to find and even stance. I will play again because it's challenging.
The course is much improved since we played it 5 years ago. Greens were all in pretty good condition and most of the tee blocks as well. Fairways a bit hard and a few spots were we had to roll the ball over to get on some grass. Enjoyed playing it and would go back
Great course
This course is challenging. If you make a bad shot it could turn to a bogey. I like the par fives. Greens are great.
Scotland yards
Very very windy the dat we played. Making the course easier on some but so much more difficult on others. On front nine we wrre behind afather daughter combo that waited til the group in front of them was on the green regardless par 3 or 4 or 5. Made for a very frustrating front. Needed a ranger to speed up their play. Skipped playing the ninth to get around them. Much faster on back
Scotland yards
Course is still in good condition. The greens are perfect speed, not too fast or not too slow. Fairways have grass but are beginning to become sparse in some spots especially on the back nine. Still in better shape than other courses in the area.
Greens in great shape
Overall, the coure conditions were good. Tee boxes decent, fairways decent. A couple hardpan spots. Greens rolled really good, not lightning fast but a good speed.
Keeps Improving
This course used to be pretty scraggly but the management is obviously interested in improving it-AND IT SHOWS! Fairways are pretty good and better than most of the open-to-the-public courses in the TB area. Greens were in very good condition but hard and bouncy. Traps were in good shape and actually had raked sand in them! Lots of courses fail at this.
One note however-the carts don't have rainbonnets to protect your clubs, so I would not come here in wet weather.
But the improvements here will keep it in our regular rotation.
