Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Scotland Yard
Great greens. Challenging turtle shells and elevated. Very long and driver friendly course.
Dazed and Confused
Course was in good shape, greens were consistent. Starter got us out 20 minutes early, started us on the back 9. We were a bit frustrated when we came to the turn to find 4 groups being rushed out the front ahead of us because they had a league starting on the back…i have no comment on that logic..
Good value
Course was in relatively good shape (could use more grass in the fairways, as there are some bare spots and patchy areas.
It's worth playing
Fun course. Can be slow at times. We go here every couple of months.
Peaceful Visions
This course needs help and care but it appears the owners are doing as much as they can to bring it back to being a hidden treasure. With that said, the course was in good shape and even with weeds on the greens. It was flattened out so that you could still get a more true roll in your putting. I was asked after my round what I thought by someone who works there and that was really nice that she was really interested in my comments and because of that as well as the awesome original design, I will come back and play.
Scotland Yards Review
• Fairways are dry (lacking grass)
• Greens have crabgrass and are not watered properly
• Rough is not mowed making it almost impossible to find your ball

The course is a good layout. But it isn't in the best of conditions. Tees are average for this time of year in FL. Greens a rolling average speed, but they have a lot of crab grass /weed spots on them, resulting in bumps and kicks off line on putts of any distance. Tees are just average. Rough is high and needs mowing. There is construction between holes 3 and 4. Staff is friendly as were players.
I haven't played this course in about a year and a half. I probably won't be back until I hear the condition has been broght up to par.
Great Layout
Fun Course greens, fairways a little shabby no big deal
Staff Friendly a lot of negative review was not expecting much but far exceeded my expectations. Wiil play again
The rough could use some cutting
Nice old course
With all the rain the back nine fairways are starting to green up!
Greens and fairways need work
There was a water pipe break and the results are that both the greens and fairways have been overrun with weeds.
The greens have those star like weeds and the fairways and rough are overrun with crabgrass.
Cow pasture especially the greens
For first time signage was dismal. Tee boxes had not been mowed. Greens were inconsistent and rough with mixed grass and weeds.
Needs work
Fairways look bad especially on the back greens not much better but it’s still a good course to practice on but wouldn’t pay no more than $15 until it gets better
