Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Great Course
Great work by the staff for the upgrades on golf carts and work on the course. Greens are in good shape and fast. Fairways on some holes are bare and some tee boxes are in need of work. Overall great work improving conditions, and course is fun to play.
bad shape
played here about 2 months ago and the fairways had some grass on them. They are now burned up. If you like a lot of roll come play. The only thing is you’ll have to hit it off of the dirt. I won’t be back
Sorry state
Not sure what's going on but the tee boxes and fairways are non-existent. Just recently went downhill. Played about 3 or 4 weeks ago and the course appeared to be getting better. Not anymore
Alert!!!
Dirt Dirt and more Dirt. Greens ok Looks like the moon surface. Cow pasture next to course looks better.
Disappointing
Having played the course earlier in the season was sorely disappointed in the conditions of the course. Tee boxes and fairways were mostly dead grass. The greens were the only thing that prevented a worse rating. Like the course when it is better shape but not now. Will not be back this season
Terrible condition
This is the worst shape I’ve ever seen this course. It was beautiful about a month or so ago. Really disappointing going out today.
Horrible
All fairways were dried out. No green grass in fairways. Staff did not notify players that the well pump was not working 10 days ago.. Shame on the owner.
Terrible
Not a green blade of grass on any of the tee boxes and fairways. By far the worst conditions I’ve played on this entire winter in Florida. Not worth $10. For 18.
Don't try to play on the weekends
Called for the starter before we started on the first hole after watching a group of 5 tell a single player that he couldn't play through , but if they get more than 2 open holes ahead of them then maybe he could play through. No starter the entire front 9 and was blown off on the turn when we tried to have them split up or held back on the 10th hole.
Great Value
It has been a long time since I played this course. Fairways and greens were in really good condition for this time of year. You could tell they were in the process of doing more improvements throughout the course, which to me is a great sign. The course is LONG!!! Some par 5's are 500+ from the whites. All in all, we had a really great day on a very nice course.
Much Improved
Course is in really good shape! Was very rough last winter and spring. They have done great work getting up to snuff. Only complaint is no cart girl and no real driving range just an irons pitch n putt.
In good condition
Course in good condition. Friendly staff. Love the layout of the course. It was crowded but pace of play was steady. I will play this course again
greens were slow but rolled nice. you can see where work is being done and making a difference.
Great staff
What a gem !!! Most green fairways I've seen in the area in a long time. Keep up the great maintenance!!!
Chilly day in Florida
The coarse in in good shape. You can see that they are working on it. Many flags to show where the extra seeding has been done. The tee boxes have been updated and are in good shape. Today started at 63 and cooled to 55 with gusty and stiff winds that made it feel much colder. I will go back when the weather gets warmer.
