Scotland Yards Golf Club

About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Wet and slow!
Course was extremely wet and even slower. Mid morning tee time and 6 groups waiting.
Good value
Course was in great condition, especially given how much is it rained recently.
Staff, as ALWAYS was friendly and helpful.
Great Course!!!
Can’t wait for the course to dry it played very good for the wet conditions greens were great!!!
Amazing course but…
The course was amazing but because of the weekly Florida rain, hole 1 was closed and hole 2 had had some added water features that were not on the gps or description. But overall amazing course. One I will go back to after Oct l. When this heavy rainy season stops.
Has potential.
This course has a ton of potential but it needs investment. Course was very wet and muddy. Greens have no bare spots, but are very slow. The layout is quite nice but as stated above it needs investment. Not worth what they charge.
No ranger - extremely slow play
There was a foursome in front of us that was apparently playing two two-man scrambles. They were excruciatingly slow, we waited for EVERY shot. And they never let us play through. I watched while two of them 3 putted (6 puts) from originally about 10 feet away. Without a ranger, there was nothing we could do. The entire course was open in front of them. I know, we should have skipped a hole or called the club house. But we expected someone at the club house would notice how no one was coming to the 10th tee for quite a while. They need to have a ranger monitoring slow play..
Good Value
Due to recent rain, course was in great shape. We've had lots of rain, so there were some wet spots and casual water, but no much given all the rain.
Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and actually fun to kid with.
Sunny is an excellent bartender and she actually knew most of our drinks from the last time we were there.
Great time
I enjoyed my round at Scotland Yard. Although I have played before, it has been many years. It won’t be many years again. The layout is unique and the staff are wonderful, accommodating. The food is restaurant quality. Will return soon!
Fun Course
The greens were a bit rough and I wish the course was better marked as we had a little trouble finding a couple of tees. But we had a good time.
Good course
Been playing here for a while great course greens are ok for the price
Favorite Course
Have played many times. It just gets better and better
