About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

This course has an enjoyable layout
Golf course fairways are in pretty rough shape. Half the time hitting off dirt. Some greens were in good shape.
Grass on Fairways
There is very little grass on the fairways and need to be overseeded.I had one guy complain to me
Fairways suffering
Greens are true and quick. Tees are in good shape. Unfortunately, either due to the dry weather, the change of ownership or a combination of both, the fairways are extremely dry and getting worse in the last 2 months.
I like the layout of this course. It has a good variety of holes but fairways need grass to really enjoy a round.
Disappointed
This must be a 55+community 99% of those playing were over 68+. Very slow day. We started at 11:15 and at 2:30 we finished the 9th hole to which we left. Super slow, crowded. The grounds/fairways were nothing like the pictures - greens were so-so. It was a 60 minute drive for us, we wanted to explore a different course - never again. A couple par 4's I thought were par 3's. Thank you for having us play your course.
Good value
Greens are in good condition, fairways are wide and decent condition. Lots of 3 & 4 somes keep average pace of play (generally 4 hrs per round). If single golfer expect to be paired. Great staff
Bargain course
Relatively inexpensive, greens are in good shape, fairways are wide and a bit rough. Pace of play is average (lots of 3&4somes). Staff is very friendly

Windy day...challenging...club house is nice....greens adequate.
Nice layout with great views
Many improvements since last year. The greens are in great shape along with the tee boxes and practice areas. The fairways are still rough in some areas but the staff and restaurant/bar are very nice. Not your boring flat Florida golf course.
Great value, would play course again and will recommend to friends.

Greens have fallen apart
Not sure what happen. This used to be a decent course for the money but this time the greens where the worst I’ve ever seen. The fairways where horrible as well. Will not be going there for awhile if we ever do.
Speedy Round At The Yard
Got a good price at the yard. Staff was friendly and we got right out. Twosome let us play through right on the first tee, which was a great sign. Fairways were a bit thin, greens were solid, a little slow but very puttable. Actually had sand in the traps. Good value and great pace, just over three hours made for a fun day.
Freindly staff, nice course
The course was in good shape, greens were a little slow. Layout was ok. Not a lot of water so nice for less experienced golfer. The staff were very accommodating. Golfed with a couple of old retires who were knowledgeable of the course and friendly. Would play again.
Tried it but not worth the money
It has not even rained yet the course was soaked from the irrigation being ran too long. Made the greens not play like they read. Very nice looking club house but it is not a course I'd play again. It was not really a well laid out course either. Lastly it was just not really worth the money for the course. I'd skip if you had other options.
Continuing improvement
The greens were the best I've seen there yet. New sand in bunkers, but the fairway need some of the tic the rest of the course has got. Overall the improvement makes me want to come back soon
