Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Scotland Yards
A few of the greens need some work but overall it is a fun course to play.
A little improvement at the cow pasture
The course is still pretty rough. Bad tees, fairways and greens. But a few places looked a little better. Decent practice course if you can get a hot deal.
Perfect day
I play this golf course before and looks like has new management because is coming very good. Finally the have fairways, greens are coming good and you can see people working hard around. I can't wait to play this golf course in summer. Probably one of the most beautiful golf courses in the area . I'll be back!
Course improving
The course is improving greens are coming around great value for the money
Poor conditions and no player courtesy
Played as a single be hind a foursome that had no one in front of them for all 18 holes and they never waved me thru. Fairways were pretty rough and the greens were rough and had a lot of bare spots. I would say the greens would have been around a 1 on a stempmeter,
Very poor condition
Rough fairways and terrible greens. Lunch time and no available food!
Course is improving
After some difficulties due to a change of ownership, the course is getting back in shape. The greens, especially, are improving rapidly.
The layout has more elevation changes than many Florida courses and has a variety of holes.
Personally, I liked the layout when the nines were reversed. I like the finish of what is now the front nine much better than the current par3, short par4, par 3.
Love the Style
The course was great today! My brothers and I loved the hilly wide open style. The greens were mostly in good shape. Maybe one or two need attention, but overall they were in good shape. The bunkers were links style and were unique. It was cold today. So, it felt like Scotland! I’m glad we weren’t wearing kilts!
Bad greens
Greens were half painted dirt and thick fuzzy grass ,,,terrible shape. , Played on a Saturday at 11:30 sailed around the front side ,didnt know that they had a league going off the back in front of us. ,, waited every shot backed up the whole course . Who puts a league out on the weekend. ??
Overall good value for money
Greens have been fertilized ...need a bit of rain ...good for the money
Conditions improving
Course has a good layout and conditions are improving under new ownership. More improvements required.
Staff is outstanding.
Restaurant was closed when we finished at 4pm, but supposedly reopening for dinner some time later.
Bar was available at that time.
Poor condition but price is ok
Course needs a lot of work. They plan to replace greens summer of 2019. Course was over seeded a month ago but the fairways are still poor. Consider this a practice course and then get the round for a hot deal and it may make sense.
Reseeded 2 weeks ago
Played right after reseeding and the course was in rough shape. After two weeks and a little rain the course is improving. If you wan to get out and play for a reasonable cost, it's a good track.
Poor shape
Recently over seeded. Tees, fairways and greens all in rough shape.
Enjoyable Round of Golf
Had a Great Round of Golf. Played with an older couple, very friendly. Course layout is nice, pace of play was great. We were able to Tee off as soon as we were ready. BUT .... the Course needs a lil ... no ... need a lot of love. Greens were horrendous. I have played there b4 and greens were okay, not the case this round. All and all a nice course when the grounds keeper return. LOL ... Recommended if you get a deal on Golf Now ... But Full Price, stay away until the greens are repaired ....
Sandy Green's
I liked the layout of this course but the greens were nothing but dirt. The tee boxes were not in good shape either. Most of the fairways were in decent shape but a few were very rough. When I arrived there was no one in the golf shop and I had to find someone in the restaurant. The lady was very nice. When I was finished I started back in to the golf shop and found it locked before 4:00 .
The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!!! I really liked the layout of the course and played one of my best rounds in years. Only issues: course is not in good shape, many bare patches even in fairways. also when I made the turn at 10 two groups of 5 were suddenly on the hole ahead of me. The first group let me play through but the second one which were still only on the next tee wouldn't allow me to go through even though the par 5 they were on was wide open.
Good course
Excellent day. Staff was exceptional, play was exceptional. Greens not perfect but good & everything else was great. Thank you for a great day!!
This course has an enjoyable layout
Golf course fairways are in pretty rough shape. Half the time hitting off dirt. Some greens were in good shape.
