Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

links style wide open
we had a good time and thought the deal was worth the ride
great course
i loved the long course, it was quite a challenge, ive only started playing 3 months ago and have been to alot of courses around here and this is one of the best. It's a faster pace, because the people that play there are good and i fell behind that curve, but it was still great and very friendly. love playing this course, nice long challenging holes. would love to live there and play daily.
GolfNow dropped the ball
This is the second time in a seven day period That we showed up at the golf course the first was Remington it was closed, now Scotland yard the greens were unplayable they looked as if they were over seeded and had not been cut for a week I have shag carpeting from the seventies that would put faster, GolfNow should have alerted this to this overseeding process because I know Scotland yard's is usually in solid shape and a fun place to play in a week or two when these greens finish growing in and they are cut the course will be in playable shape. But we always enjoy our time at the course and we made the best of it even though you could not really put the greens
Big 79 on 18
Nice course green were a little slow fairways were good. Nice cart. Would like to play again when the greens were better
needs work
Was a windy day and on several holes the sprinklers were on around the greens ....which made it almost impossible to putt on a few holes. NO driving range. Putting green was almost free of green grass. Greens in general were very erratic due to lack of grass and layers of blue/green sand. Fairways were very weedy. The course has some hills. Bunkers were just ok. Decent layout for seniors if the conditions improve. AND, remember to ask for a scorecard....which was not on the cart....bad news when the first hole tee box is about 300 yards from the clubhouse.....the clubhouse could have helped with that situation by mentioning to take a scorecard!!!!!
Golfer Friendly Course
Scotland Yard of Dade City, Florida was an enjoyable experience. A few maintenance upgrades, weeding and having the greens cut shorter (faster) would really help but overall a good time was had and I will return in the future.
Nice, friendly club house, nothing extravagant, but a good place for an after round cocktail and a discussion of the days golfing adventure.
Makes you want to return
This course is amazing to play at. The fairways are very well kept, and overall the greens are in great shape, only a few with a couple of spots but they are being worked on. The staff is great and the best part is Oct has 10% discount on Daily Meals at Omari's Bar & Grill. Always look forward to coming back to this course.
Favorite local track
This course has come UP so far since new mgt.has taken over.
Nothing but good things to say about Scotland Yards.
I've played this course for 6 yrs. I've played it frozen, dry, sopping wet,and I've played it in good shape.
I've played it and shot sparks off my club. This is the best I've ever seen it. imho
Our group was very pleased with the great shape of the course.Kudos.
We will all be back.thanks.
Recommend
If you are looking for a course that isn't a typical Florida flat track, Scotland is a pleasant change of pace. The rolling features of the course will have you thinking about each shot.
Most of the tee boxes were good with only a couple that needed some care. Fairways were good but had some areas with more weeds than grass. Only one green was in poor condition that made putting difficult.
Enjoyed the entire round since the course was fairly empty. I would recommend that if you are in the area, try the course for a change of pace.
fresh sod on greens
this course is ok if you don't want to putt.several of the greens have pieces of sod in the middle of them. i play courses all over the bay area and these are by far the worst excuse for greens i have ever seen. that said, the fairways were decent but the tee boxes need some work stay away
Greens need work
Everything on this course was great except the greens. All of the greens on the front were in bad shape and I was told that they were working on them. To come back in 2 months and they would be in great shape. I have played the course several times and I will play it again. It is close to home and a good course to play.
Surprisingly not bad
Played this course about a year ago and over that time the fairways and greens are better and seem to be trending up. Straight forward layout, the surprising part of the course was the greens. Though the greens looked as if they were aerated about a month or so prior, they still had descent speed and rolled true. Not to much trouble tee to green, for a GolfNow hot deal would definitely play again.
Good price. Greens- some good, some bad. Poor fairways. Difficult sand traps.
