Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Could have been better
The greens were in fairly good condition but not consistent. Some of the greens had been mowed but not all. The fairways were not defined and had very little turf.
Great price
First time and probably not again till the grass grows on the fairways. No over seeding on the fairways and they look pretty bad. Greens were in great shape except for two. Definitely a local members course. Quite a few blind tee shots and the par fives were a challenge.
Overall, worth the hot deal price.
Okay round
Greens are in great shape. A few fairways were sparse. The price was fine and even better if you use GolfNow's VIiP program
A little Scotland yards.
The course is got some nice views from top of the hills, mind you this is Florida .The greens are in great shape,
It's January so the grass in winter state.
It's a drive from st. Pete but worth it.
Customer service training
3rd time we’ve been here and from the greeting you could tell golf now customers not really welcomed. As we checked in we were told without hesitation, “you’re playing with 2 other people and everyone is teeing off 10 I’ll let you know when you can get your cart.” And basically we were just left standing there to I guess go putt or dare we ask if there was a range. After looking down number 10 and seeing literally 7 groups between the tee and green we knew it would be a 5 hour plus round, course is too small to House that many groups. That said we opted to forfeit our round not only because of what would have been a ridiculously slow day but the guy in the pro shop just rubbed us the wrong way. We won’t be going back and I’ll make sure anyone who asks spends their money elsewhere.
good course for the price
I went on a Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. I had to wait on most tee boxes. the course is nice, I will go back, not a bad drive from Lakeland
Nice course
The front nine is very challenging and the back is where you’re going to score. Greens are very slow but true.
Greens need more attention
You can tell they are trying to improve the course. Grass on greens is long. Needs to be either cut or rolled. Too long and too slow. Otherwise the course is good.
Nice course, played with my wife, not a hard course, but it has some fun holes, resonabley priced
Course is improving
I played here last year and it was obvious that the change of ownership had some negative effect on course conditions. It was clear this year that they are trying to return the greens and tees to their prior consistency. There is a good variety of holes; not too much water (a plus in Florida); playable sand traps. We arrived a little early and were allowed to go to the first tee early. Both the starter and pro shop were quick and personable. Snack was reasonably priced.
links style wide open
we had a good time and thought the deal was worth the ride
I find that extremely hard to believe, I use golfnow every time I play there and have always been treated great. The 10th hole is a straight away 300 yard par 4. To say there could be 7 groups on that hole is nothing but exaggeration.
