Golfer Reviews
Good Course to try
Good layout. Plenty of length from the tips. Small fast greens keep you honest Plays fair
Most fun you can have in Davie!
This place isn't easy at all every hole has a hazard and you have to play smart otherwise better have tons of extra balls. The greens are great! Overall this place is the perfect mix of challenges and rewards.
Fun course to play
Good course. Greens were slow, but extremely difficult due to pin placement and size (narrow greens). Pace of play was good and staff was friendly. Super fun course.
Corona Relief
Given the CV-19 hysteria and attendant limitations to playing golf in Broward County, my round at Davie, nonetheless, was a pleasant odyssey that was greatly enhanced by the foursome in front of us giving way to our threesome at the turn. Thanks to the six-week lockdown, the fairways and greens were in fine condition, the bunkers less so. As usual, the staff was friendly and the beverage cart service was splendid on a 90 degree day. Thumbs down to the starter for confused placement of players.
Davie G&CC
Staff did a good job of getting enough carts for individual ridership.
Course was in good shape.
Surprisingly difficult!
We were not expecting this for a small public course but the challenge was huge. I played from the back tees and faced a level of difficulty that was surprising and not reflected by the rating of the course or its short length. Yes the conditions are not perfect but the greens’ quality is good enough. The fairways are tight, greens are very small and extremely hilly, long par 4s where the drive needs to carry and land on a very tight fairway between water hazards. Some holes are way too difficult but if you want a challenge that will impact more your ego than your wallet, go there!
Greens are dumb
Course layout was ok, tight in spots but that’s baseball baby. Very slow round. The greens look like they were designed by a 4 year old, but thankfully they were rolling at a 4 on the stimp.
Another great round
If you haven’t had a chance to play it , make it happen. I play all of South Florida and Davie is one of my favorites. Greens are there best attribute and are always in good shape. Course is a little worn out this time of year , but overall course is a great value.
Challenging but fun
We loved the approach taken at this course = have fun and don’t get too uptight, they really want you to enjoy your round. The course was in reasonably good condition and the water obstacles and wicked greens made it challenging. Good value for the money but a shame that the off course facilities are so lacking.
SURPRISE
I booked this round for a threesome. At first glance, the course isn't anything special. Fortunately, we were joined by a single who plays here frequently. The greens aren't pristine by any means, but there are many nuances that are not evident to the eye. There is a ton of trouble on the track and we were given great advice and guidance by the single that he made the round enjoyable. If you think that you get what you pay for - that's not always true. The greens are lightning fast and there is a lot of undulation on some of them. We plan on booking this course again on our annual trip to SOFLA nest year.
Plenty of water to be had
My first time playing the course. Greens and tees were in pretty good shape - spotty weeds here and there but they were being treated so should hopefully be taken care of. The practice green is one of the smallest I've seen. Lots of traffic on the course so pace was less than desirable.
