About
Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

Only for the experienced golfer
.my partner loss more than a dozen balls. The pics of the course and info do not explain that there is very little room for error on 80% of shots. Any slice or hook in your game results in loss balls in the canon or tough rough just beyond the fairway. This is more fault of the golfer than anything, but a heads up on the course info might save some people trouble of trying to play here. Besides that it has a cool fun layout and very challenging. For the 52 bucks it was worth it

You must be average in length off the tee and better than average with accuracy to greens to avoid 3 putting No flat putts anywhere. The views are terrific
Great all around course!
First time playing mt woodson. I have to say its a great course. The greens were super fast and a little hard to judge the speed but that just added to the challenge of the course! Fairways were in great condition and the views are spectacular! Some of the T boxes could use a little work but overall not bad! Just love the layout. Started at 2:00 pm and ended around 6:15. Never needed to rush a hole or wait on anyone in front! This course is well worth the price. Friendly staff as well! Definitely coming back soon!
Great course and great staff.
The layout is so much fun and challenging. We were welcomed so friendly we knew it was going to be a great day. Did I mention the excellent lunch special? Grilled onions with my Bratwurst! Excellent. Can’t wait to play again.
A course for local knowledge .The fairways were cropped a little tight for my taste. The greens were humbling,
Would play again when I'm down from the great white north.
Tee boxes were over grown but greens played well and fairways were in good shape.
Just a fantastic course.
By a shift of planets I was able to get a single tee time in between a tournament and just love this course. Very tricky and bring extra balls. Food is great and so is the staff. Everyone is friendly and the course is top notch.

It is nice course in the mountain. I and my friends liked this course a lot. The pace is little slow but acceptable.

this is where it’s at folks
For the money ($52 on golf now) and including a cart(you can’t walk) this place is unbeatable, the course is well maintained and constantly worked on. I’ve only had wonderful experiences at this track, and the best hot dog in SD by far, pace of play is always around 4 hours even when the course is full. This is my go to spot, it’s worth the drive every time.

Played here for the 1st time last on 03/08/21 and can't wait to be back. Scenic, fun, and challenging golf course with amazing fast greens. Bring your best putting game to survive here.
