Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club - Red Course

This has always been one of my favorite courses in town for the layout, but for some reason, they always seem to have green problems. When I walked up to the putting green yesterday I was impressed because the green was absolutely beautiful. Sadly, that went away when I hit a couple of putts. The greens were so slow that it wasn’t even fun to put on them. I don’t expect them to roll like Augusta or even some of the other courses here in town, but you at least need to be able to get your ball rolling without having to make a full hip turn..

If they could just get the greens running eight or nine, his course would be a gem

Great course unlike any in florida, fairways could use a little work, but greens are pga quality, I mean they are perfect!!!! Tight and fun course,

Tee boxes and green in very good shape. Many of the fairways not very good - especially for a country club.

The course was in reasonable condition but the pace of play was very slow. Group of ladies in front of us not keeping up with the group in front of them.

Greens look great, have great coverage, almost no bad spots, but they are on the slow side and we all had multiple putts that just didn't seem to break the way they looked, or two from almost the same spot that would react a little differently. So pretty, but furry.

Rough still dormant, fairways pretty bare with many dirt-only patches scattered around, as is pretty normal here. For the price it is fair.

Greens were beautiful as always but were faster. usually greens are pretty and slow. Glad they are faster now. The fairways needs a lot of work.I expect a better maintained course in a gated community and considered a country club.

Originally I got to the course, I was slated to play alone. At a last minute change, it became a two-some. We had a two-some in front of us that couldn't play worth a d*mn, so they kept having to do mulligan after mulligan before they had a shot they could play, so it slowed down the pace. Then we had a four-some behind us that were playing quicker, so that made our two-some get a bit squeezed. The timings between groups need to be like 10 to 15 minutes, not like the 6 to 7 minutes it's slated for now.

The layout is challenging but fair. The fairways, and green surrounds are dismal. Hardpan is so many areas from lack of turf. If they had quality turf it would be a great track. The greens were very healthy and average speed .

Nice and warm, but windy day for golf. The greens were immaculate and putted very true. However, the fairways leave a lot to be desired with most a few weeds and sand. To be fair there has been no rain in months and abnormally cold weather.

Tee boxes & fairways were very thin, some completely bare BUT the greens were pristine! One could move the ball an inch or so to a better lie on the fairway and of course choose where to tee it so having awesome greens made it a great day.

The course was in nice shape for this time of the year. Greens were in good shape. The course had a character for every hole. Really enjoyed playing the course.
