Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape but the greens suck. Not worth the price for the conditions!
Maintenance
Greens were aerated and sanded Monday/Tuesday May 24 & 25. Will be a week or too until they are rolling again. Hope for some rain
Generally nice conditions
Course is in fairly good condition as the dry season is about to end. Greens are a bit thin but fairways are reasonably good - spotty in areas you’d expect, because it’s been dry, but entirely playable. The course has some nice vistas.
Well kept secret
This really is a semi-private course as public can only play after 12:00 without a membership. Not only receptive to walkers but, very easy course to walk. I highly recommend you try it out on Golfnow and if you live close enough you’ll be back.
Below average course
Played this course with 2 other friends. We were charged more through tee off app than the course normally charges. Which is unpleasant because a “hot deal” is supposed to be an actual deal and not a rip off. Regardless, for the price the course overall was below average. Poor conditions and golf carts that are falling apart. Would not recommend this course again.
Great course. Fairways and green are great. Rough is rough. Layout fun. Back 9 a better test and more fun. Overall a great golf day. Out as a single. Pkayed in 245. Will be back for sure.
Hidden gem.
I don’t live far from this course but I’d never heard of it. Found it on golf now and wasn’t expecting much. However, we were all pleasantly surprised and we’re looking forward to our next round there.
Course
This course surprised me, it was in excellent condition and well taken care of! I would recommend it to anyone!!
Pleasantly surprised
Greens were quicker than expected. The layout was nice and smooth with barely any carries to worry about. The greens and fairways were in solid shape and didn't have to roll my ball once. I am putting this on my short list of courses to play in Hernando/Citrus/Pasco to play every year I come down. Restaurant closes early though, make sure you get your food and drinks early.
Disappointed
Poor conditions, rough -very rough, greens slow and choppy, a lot of weeds and bare spots throughout, nice layout but not kept up.
Would pay $15 to play here but not $45+
$45 was what my friends and I paid to play here, and it was definitely not worth the money. There are many other courses in the area that are less money and Much better. The fairways are poor and it is difficult to differentiate between the fairways and the rough. We found ourselves hitting fairways but having to move our balls to get a decent patch of grass to hit off of. The greens are bumpy and very patchy, consistent with a low end 9-hole course. I have never written a bad review in my life but I can’t help but feel robbed after paying top dollar to play at a sub par course. The only upside of the course is that they offered free range balls. This was our first time playing here and we will not be coming back.
