About
Lake Wales Country Club boasts a classic Donald Ross design that players of all skill level will enjoy. Built in the 1920s, the golf course has a different look and feel than most modern courses. Rather than exaggerated hazards and dramatic contouring, the layout blends seamlessly into the natural landscape. The routing of each hole was determined by the existing contours. Like many of Ross' designs, the phrase "hard par, easy bogey" holds true here. The layout features small greens with crown centers that are sloped back to front. Rough borders the fairways and the wide-openness of the course means that wind will often be a factor. Lake Wales C.C. is a challenging but straightforward golf course. There are no trick holes but there are several holes that will make you think.

Course was what i expected.Sunday pin locations were reasonable.on course restrooms are sad
Conditions
Course is rough at best fairways are decent the rough is patchy greens are slow but you can tell that the course is having work put into it. I think if they keep up the hard work it will be a good course. The lay out is entertaining a good mix of long and short par 4s. I will play it again for sure ! Keep up the good work boys

Fairways and greens were in very good shape

Needs a lot of work
I travel for work, so having some time I tried this course. Well there is a reason for so many open T times. It’s ok to play but course condition is in need for a lot all around. I was told it was the best it has ever been. This must have been pretty bad before !
Greatly improved course conditions
So much better than it was a few months ago. It’s just ridiculous. A beautiful way out. It just needs a lot of TLC and I’m glad they’re doing it put in the money it’ll be worth it.
nice mature tight Florida golf course design
Greens were better than I have payed previously Fairways good as well. Looks like a lot of improvements thank you and keep up the good work . The holes are fun to play and present a challenge from the Blue tees.

Value for your dollar is good but the greens are not in the best of shapes
The course definitely is not the same as 2 years ago, they have work a lot to put it in superb conditions like it is. For the price you can’t expect nothing better.
I definitely recommend this course it has a great lay out and long pars 4’s & 5’s.
I got surprised!
On the upside
So all fairways were reseeded and now cut to fairway height. Greens roll good but there r bare spots which r understandable for how much work it takes to have perfect greens. Fun track tests ur skill at all tboxes. Very eye appealing to. Give it a shot
Fairways were in great shape, the greens need some TLC comparing to last season… love the design and atmosphere!
