South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

Do not miss this course, you can’t beat it for the cost of admission. Very nice layout, card looks short but course plays a little longer. Excellent greens (fast, smooth), great fairways, nice tee boxes and the rough isn’t to tough, this leads to a fun round of golf. Great wildlife, birds and gators. I will play again, I recommend to everyone, this is one of the top courses around, especially considering the price.

Great little tucked away course if you can get a tee time. It stays pretty busy however if you get booked…enjoyment is surely on deck. Course condition well kept as a constant and the course is challenging in ways that it needs to be.

This well groomed, hidden jewel was a great find. The greens were is awesome shape, lots of grass on the fairways and chipping areas. You can tell that a lot of care goes in to keeping this course in great shape. Highly recommended!

Always enjoy the course. The layout is good and fun n while being a fair challenge. Small mistakes can cost you shots! While rewarding good shots. Greens are always good and quick. Drains well, played a day after a heavy rainfall and it was 90 degree rule, not cart paths only!

Paired up with a nice couple and enjoyed the course.

This is a pretty nice course, tucked into a gated seniors community. Did not feel welcome. Questioned more than once if we were residents, C;ear;y we looked like outsiders. Terrible grill. No food ready, particularly troublesome at the turn. I just think, if you don't want outsiders playing your course, make it private and don't make it available.

Finally, course layout practically begging you to hit a house, even with normal mishits.

This golf course for what you pay is amazing. It is the level of the best golf courses in central florida.

Best course in Lakeland by far. Excellent shape. Pace is good. Greens always nice

Course was in very good condition. Greens were fast but true & you could fly it in & they will hold. Traps very large with great fluffy white sand.

Overall condition is good, greens are Quick and run true.. not really a course for beignets. Very enjoyable.

Upon arrival, the staff including the gate attendant, check in desk and starter were all super friendly. A great start. We had time to putt and warm up, and even got off about 20 minutes early. Took only 30 minutes to play the first 4 holes. Unfortunately, it took over 4 hours to plat the last 14. A very slow foursome that must have been playing for a million dollars held up the entire course for the rest of the day. We caught up with the group in front of us on every tee. No rangers on the course. I guess that is what you have to deal with is members that ignore the golfers behind them. However, the course is very nice, with outstanding greens and many interesting holes. The fairways were generous, and although there was plenty of water it was avoidable. I played the same ball for 18 holes. We will likely be playing here again in the future when we are back in Florida.
