South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

Tees, fairways and especially greens were green with grass. Greens were very smooth and fast.

No patches of ingrowth grasses. Great all around

I had never heard of Big Cypress until I noticed it on GolfNow. I live in Tampa so it was a 50 minute drive to the course but well worth it. The greens and fairways were in fantastic condition. The course is a good test, especially if you have never played it before. Several of the holes I will play differently next time.

Greens here never disappoint. Faster than most courses and they always run true. Barely any rain for a month or so but the course is still in great shape. Fairways and tees are a little dry but thats to be expected. Greens were great as usual.

Staff has always been courteous and always organized. They usually get you out ahead of schedule and the pace is nice.

The driving range is nice and well taken care of.

We will be playing both North and South courses on the same day this weekend for a friendly little shootout with my friends. I have taken many of my guys here to check out the South course and they all have been impressed.

Great course that I would definitely recommend and play again. Nice course layout. Course is in good shape in all areas. Friendly people. The grill food and prices were great. Good value. If they get a little rain, this course would be amazing! Well worth the trip.

This course was tough but fair. Great value for the money. Pace of play wasn’t great but better than Huntington Hills. Great layout and good condition.

The course was well maintained and the employees were very helpful and courteous. I would recommend it for mid level players. It may not be long enough for big hitters. We had a great time.

Title says it all...Great layout, good conditions, fantastic greens. This course is one of the best values in the area. I would absolutely play it again and then again and again.

First time playing the South Course. This course is in pristine shape, similar to Valspar course. As I stated previously, after playing the North Course, courses like Links of Lake Bernedette, Scotland Yards and Brooksville Golf Courses should get advice from Big Cypress management on how to maintain a course.

Ok course. Great restaurant and club house many locals with carts.

Very good course. Great greens. Reasonably priced especially when compared to other courses. Staff fine, not super friendly but efficient.

Only complaint was they never told us about a Juniors competition going out before us. It was for 8 to 10years olds on the first 9. We caught up with them on the third and the next 6 holes took over 2 hours. Over 3 hours for the first 9 is totally unacceptable. Pace of play on back 9 was perfect

This course is always in good shape this time of year! BCS is a shorter but tight course that requires some controlled shots especially off the tee. We played 1:30pm round. Hoping to miss some of the busy morning tee times but it was still pretty backed up. Rangers told me they had a 20 golfer outing, tee off just before us.

The Pro shop and starters are always great and ready to help you get loaded up and in the 1st tee box queue. Practice green and Range are great. Spend some time putting to get a feel for the super fast greens here! (I would guess 12-13 on the stimpmeter).

Tee boxes and greens are great. The fairways are decent and relatively soft considering the lack of rain in Florida this winter. We enjoyed our round but it was pretty slow. But you almost have to expect it this time of year with all the snowbirds and visitors. I would recommend!!

These are the best green I have played in Florida. They are in fabulous shape, fast, firm and fair. Good layout, a few tricky tee shots but fair. I will definitely play it again.

Beautiful course, well laid out and maintenance is very good. Good variety of holes, water everywhere and some great par threes. Pro shop staff can be described as efficient without being welcoming or friendly. Super value for money, highly recommend a visit.
