South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

Well kept facilities & course keep up the good work.

I always like to play here, specially in summer, when is less crowded.

We were paired up with a gentleman from N Tampa and he had never played Big Cypress . I told him he was in for a treat. BC is my favorite course so far in Florida. The gentleman from NT said he pays double what BC charges and the courses are maybe half as nice. Once again BC was exceptional.

They didn't have my reservation at gate, or clubhouse. Was supposed to be paired with others, ended up by myself, which is fine. They let two foursomes go ahead of me while waiting on pairing. Those groups never let me pass. I typically play 18 in less than 1.5 hours, closer to 1 if by myself. Front 9 took 2.5 hours. Played the back nine after I passed them at the turn in about an 45 minutes thanks to a couple others letting me tee off with them, finishing the hole and moving on.

For the course, greens were in great shape compared to others I have seen lately. Sand was raked and high quality. Tee boxes and fairways were better than average as well.

Excellent as always. Greens roll true and are in great condition. Fairways are in the best condition around considering the lack of rain this time of year. There are a few somewhat rough tee boxes, but again, time of year, and they are still very playable. I have paid a lot more and gotten a lot less recently at other places. This course is very score-able and a ton of fun. If you are playing for the first time and actually “need” to know yardages, bring GPS or Laser…..it will further enhance your experience. And most importantly, play bad fast for everyone’s sake!

Played last year and returned to South course foe an excellent time. Played twice in the week here. Greens are very fast and greens can be challenging depending on your ball position on green. Some challenging holes but an overall excellent time. Can't wait to come back in October. This course is a must play.

waited at least 5 mins on every shot the entire round, no ranger and over packed course. greens all have substantial slope and speed of greens made play impossible

Overall the course is in good shape for this time of year. The greens were very quick and a little hard to read at times. A good golfing experience was enjoyed.

Greens were fast and a little tricky. Pace of play was 4:30. This course is pretty short but need to play with some strategy. Enjoyed my day. Good value on a hot deal.

The course was very dried out.. it looks like they do not seed for the winter . They thing I liked about the course was the greens were fast . The retirement community it is in is super busy with members . I’ll just say I’ve met some cool ones and I’ve met some just plain rude ones . If you live in the area it’s working playing but I wouldn’t be driving from a long ways away to play

Fun, challenging course to play. Very flat. Greens were very good and pins were tough. Active membership, we got caught behind some slow groups but finished in 4.5 hrs.

Staff was very friendly and helpful Nice driving range.
