About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

Great choice between Orlando and Tampa
Our tee time was close to 2:00 and the starter was very receptive to a request to get out early if possible. He informed us when the range opened and came back to say we could get out 30 minutes early. Course was in great condition. Greens fast, fairways immaculate, bunkers good. Pace of play excellent. Many unique holes. Would love to play it again with a little more course knowledge.

This course we played because I heard of on the top golf now list that recently came out. Was a very nice layout and conditions were great. Greens were receptive, but oddly quick which i love. Only down side was we somehow got a of wood lodged into the tire and got a flat on hole 16 and the pro shop closed for the day already so we drove on the flat the rest of the way.
Great condition
Tight course in very good condition. Greens were fast and punched within the last few weeks. Some very short holes, only 6500 from the tips.

Beware booking on Golfnow
Guy in clubhouse refused to honor the Golfnow price that I booked for and wouldn't budge an inch on overcharging me by $18. Incredibly rude and ignorant.
