About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

Beware booking on Golfnow
Guy in clubhouse refused to honor the Golfnow price that I booked for and wouldn't budge an inch on overcharging me by $18. Incredibly rude and ignorant.

Great course
This course is in great shape. Fast greens, excellent fairways, and in a friendly community. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
One of the Best Golf Courses in Lakeland
This golf course is great! Conditions are prime and it is a tough golf course! Highly recommend this golf course!
Sore Legs
I am handicapped and the course had cart path only which made it a very difficult day of playing. I think I would have really enjoyed playing the Green swamp course in drier conditions when I could actually use the cart to get to my ball. Greens extremely fast even in wet conditions, other than wet the course was in good condition and challenging with very unforgiving conditions out of the fairways.
Good Value
First rough a bit rugged, some areas needed a remow, but considering all the rain they had recently gotten, conditions were Good. Fun course, but pick the correct club to stay out of trouble.
Good find
The greens are immaculate though a little fuzzy. Course was fun, some good risk/reward opportunities.
Solid
Made the drive down from Orlando due to all the 4.5 and 5 STAR ratings, Worth the price we paid on Tee-Off and a Solid, nice course but nowhere near a 4.5 star course. No idea how it gets rated that, Not in the stratosphere with another Lakeland course CLUB AT EAGLEBROOKE or Orlando area courses like Rosen Shingle Creek, OCN, Omni Championsgate, Celebration, Southern Dunes etc and son on.
