About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

The Groves, while only 4000 yds can be a challenge for a high handicapper as there is plenty of water and tight fairways to contend with.....the greens are in great shape, nice and smooth, relatively fast and not too undulating.....fairways are cut close and well groomed. The last hole is a very short par 5, but really tight and I usually don't do well, but still enjoy the round over all.
Great Short Course
Played the course with my grandson who doesn’t play very often. This was a great course for him to play due to the shorter length yet very nicely framed holes. Fairways and greens are very good, although some greens had different grasses growing, but rolled very nicely. Course layout is excellent with some very challenging holes, although not long. Very fun, non-stressful course to play. Staff very friendly.

Great time!
First time on this course. We drive about 45 mins to try a new place to play and different. Loved it. We got a little backed up on 10 but that quickly resolved by 12. Layout is very nice and will definitely be back.

Excellent course.
A very tricky course. You have to place your shots cuz of a lot of water. Whole number 18 use a five or six iron to tee off very tricky part 5.

Stellar Track
1st time playing at The Groves but it wont be my last. Unique set up from hole # 1 to the Par 5 #18 that is challenging for golfers of all skill levels. Course was in great shape all the way around, awesome restaurant and food and very friendly staff, Do not sleep on this course, get out there and play this as soon as you can. You will not regret it !!!

Don't let the distance fool you as there are plenty of difficult holes on this "short" course. Water, sand and tight fairways will "capture" a stray shot....The greens were fast and true...fairways cut close...very little rough to contend with...overall a fun course.....just hit it straight and make a few putts.....

Greens in amazing shape
Played this course several times, it’s pretty short so it’s a great time with friends who might be new to the game and the holes are fun and tricky at times. The greens are in some of the best shape I’ve seen in the area at this time of year when many are dead or dried out. Really good value especially for tee times in the afternoon, definitely give it a try

Very slow play
Play was super slow and we ended up leaving after 12 holes. I couldn’t stand the pace of play anymore!!

Be ready for slow play
First nine holes very very slow , no ranger on course , 2 ball in front very slow , first nine took over 2hr 30 mins , once they left after 9 took less than an hour , it’s a great little course , great condition , testing but you don’t need a driver ! Just suggest they get people moving who have no clue
