Plantation Palms Golf Club

New to area & 1st time @ this course. Not a big fan of no carts in parking lot. I'm a bit of a slow poke. I know it's to prevent outside coolers; but I don't do that. I just have stuff. Clubs, shoes, speaker, towels & water bottles which are necessary for cleaning clubs & lack of ball washers @ many golf courses. Just easier to do @ the car. Showed up early. Was paired up with a great guy (Willard) who was a regular. Gave me a lot of insight on the local public golf scene. Plus course / holes info. Tee'd off early. Pace of play was good for about 12-14 holes. Then it slowed down , but nothing extreme. We were yakking & didn't really notice the slow down too much. Despite playing bad, I loved the course. Great condition & lay out. Greens were fast & true. Bunkers, tee-boxes, fairways & the new carts were excellent. Really enjoyed the round. I inquired about their membership programs. 2 of them. Both would work for me if I ended up living in that area. Very happy, I'll definitely be back.

I hadn’t played this course in over a year because conditions were poor. But now the course is in great shape. The greens were fast and in great condition. The fairways were the best I’ve seen since I stated playing here 8 years ago. I will be playing this course on a regular basis now.

The course was challenging yet a great layout for intermediate players. Loved everything about the course

Starter was not friendly or helpful at start of round. Gave no introduction of course nor did he ask if we ever played there before. We were keeping pace with the group in front of us….. but on 6-7th hole 2 groups skipped a hole and went right in front of us only to wait. Called the pro shop and someone came out and did nothing about it. Apparently players can drive around and play any holes they want. This happened again on back 9. Course was in poor condition, dead, burnt fairways. No need to play here ever again.

Couldn’t be happier with the crew and the amazing carts also ! Gorgeous track with challenging greens and lots of fun!

Enjoyed our round and the staff friendliness. We were paired with another twosome, a phenom 16 y/o youngster and her grandfather who were a delight to play with. Course conditions were seasonally blazing fast on the greens and fairways. Course layout was manageable with exception of 14 and 18 that are extremely difficult. Mulligan's Grill buzzed with activity and excellent food. We will certainly revisit this course.

Overall had a great day. Course was in good shape. Only problem was the pace of play. Tee times are stacked too close together. Our tee time was for 1:40 and we didn’t even start until a little after 2 because there was two groups waiting to tee off and 2 groups on the first hole. We called it a day after hole 16 a little after 6pm because it was getting too dark. They have brand new carts with GPS in them and the cart said we were 28 minutes behind where we were supposed to be. That didn’t include the extra 20 minutes we waited just to tee off.

I enjoyed the layout and man were the greens rolling nice!

Absolutely do not play here as a single. Turned up to find I was playing behind 3 3 balls & in front of a 4 ball. The Club should be clear singles aren’t encouraged given minimal attempt to fit them into the tee time schedule.

I have given one star only because they didn’t quibble when I walked off the first tee & asked for a refund.

Take my advice & find a Club more flexible to single players.

Very good course, it’s fun, but challenging. Pace of play is very bad though. Our t time was at 1 pm. We didn’t get done with the round until 548. Almost 5 full hours for a round of golf. If your t time is after 1 pm there is a 99% chance you won’t finish

The layout of the course was decent, but the greens were great. My only concern was the fertilizer being used - at times the smell of manure was unbearable. Looking forward to playing another round in the future.
