The course was getting ready for the season
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The course was going through preparation for the season. All the greens were closed,
They made small round kind of greens in front of the regular greens about 50 feet. It was no were close to a green but, my friend and I were out there knocking off some rust so we didn’t care. It was only $35/$36 to play. We stopped on the turn and had burgers and the food was very good. I believe the course will be good in a few months once everything is done.
The greens are in the fairways , since they are closed! not worth it!!! no even for $5 dollars

Like the course layout
I like this course and still think its a good deal even though they are on temoporary greens. I booked my round knowing that and will definitely be going back when the improvements are wrapped up.
Greens being worked on, so temp greens for a few weeks, so course was empty.
Staff friendly, we played in less than 3 hours since there was not a soul on the course other than my wife and me. Its a very nice course.
Terrible
Used to play this couse for many years, very nice and challenging. But on my visit for a round I have been noticed that all the holes were temporary greens, upon reservation there was a note that some greens can have a different aspect (see picture). Did not worth the money for summer
Temp greens
Told at checkin about temp greens. Told there was only about 10yards difference. Most holes were at least 70 yds difference and 1-2 about 100 yds. Last at 3 the green was maybe 3yds in diameter and on a hill. All other temp greens were maybe 15’ diameter. Disappointed that more accurate info wasn’t provided at checkin or during booking.
Unfortunate
The first time I played this course I loved it. Unfortunately this time after I payed for my round I was informed that every hole had temporary greens and we had to stay on the cart path the entire time. Additionally the fairways were completely unkept, some of them look like they hadn’t been mode in a couple weeks. The temporary greens were only about 10 feet in diameter so anytime you tried to hit on the ball would just bounce off no matter how you landed. Won’t be back until after they fix these issues.
Don’t book this garbage
It should be criminal that they are actually charging people money to play on this course with this temporary green nonsense. If you miss it in the fine print, there are little 10ft circles in the middle of the fairway that they call temporary greens. Absolute joke. Dont waste your money like I did
Temporary greens 75-100 yds in front of actual greens
All temporary greens, postage stamps, impossible to hit ball on the green unless you roll up a chip. Any ball on a fly just bounces off , since actually only cut down fairway
Not recommended
It would be good if the geen is not maintenance. The alternative green is in the middle of fairway. I didn't get any notification about that.
The course is being renovated but still in good shape. However, the pace of play was way too slow and the starter was so rude that it took us out of it from the start. When approaching the starter we were told “ you are way too early, why don’t you go get some punch or something and wait to be called”. I guess this is how they speak to women golfers at this club. Long story short we played 7 holes and couldn’t wait to get out of there. We were new to the course and was looking forward to it. Here is my tip, wait till your name is called and do not approach the starter any earlier. Lollll
Winston Trail 6/9/24
The day was hot. The staff was very helpful. they have a tiki bar right next to the driving range. The greens were very fast for this time of the year in South Florida.
The more I play here the less I like it
I have played 9 holes here on 4-5 separate occasions with my son and my wife. Each time they have had a DJ at the bar right by the driving range playing rap music fairly loudly.
I will say that the check in attendant is a super nice kid, and he makes you feel like it is a high-end place.
However, I have seen a number of people swear up a storm on the driving range and I have never seen a ranger monitor the pace of play, which can be slow with a 4 some of duffers from the North hacking up the course
I think it is a decent track and in OK shape but they really need to offer a more professional environment when warming up and on the course
1.)The Bar has the band around 5pm so if you don’t like it go earlier.
2.) The First Amendment actually exist.
3.) It’s never really busy there during off-season. Also all the Northern people usually go home for the summer so them hacking up the course is very unlikely.
Signed up yesterday to play and it does in fact say that greens are under maintenance.
Next time sign up to play don’t just look at the price.
